890L is a tri band ac3200 router and ac87u is a dual band ac2600 router. Both are different in terms of MU-MIMO vs broadcom's smart connect.

link rate can be checked from the wireless device itself. different device got different ways of checking, but the option should be somewhere in your wifi settings..

On windows machines, link speed is indicated as "Speed". On windows 8/8.1/10 go to "Network and Sharing Center", click on your connection under "view your active connections".

On Android devices, go to Settings/WiFi click on your connection and should show you the link speed.
On Apple devices, no idea!

Hi everyone, just got the router today and couldn't get it connected to Internet (red globe).

I'm on Singtel fibre, connected the ONT to WAN. Used the quick setup, selected both Singtel MIO and Singtel Others. Both doesn't work. Cannot detect dhcp.

I read from this thread that a few other guys here also have the same problem but I didn't see any solution posted.

Anyone who knows the solution Pls help. Getting very frustrated.

Which plan?

For Unlimited plan, you don't need the special settings.

I connect ONT port 1 to WAN on the router, launched the setup wizard and didn't choose special setting.

Still doesn't work.

Kindly state which plan you are using..

For unlimited fibre, have u tried plugging ur computer to ONT, bypassing the router and manage to surf the net?

then it means that your machine is connected via 5Ghz using wireless ac and is a 2x2 adapter.

I've been experiencing slow wifi speed on my iphone 6+...sometimes when i update my apps from apple store the updates will just get stuck and not move. can take up to 15mins and still see no progress...

after i disable wifi, the updates continue normally using 4G...

JK, this version got some issue with the IPTV VID for Internet.

I can't connect to Singtel and the LED stays red color.

It can be downloaded offline, and now use a router suddenly restart occurs, does not recognize the removable hard disk and so on. How do you resolve it?
