I honestly never knew there's a difference. maybe like lights and stuff like that? everything is partially labeled as "gaming" to capture all and everyone who is looking for one. weirdly, they all think that gaming equipment is considered higher end, I don't know but when I see "GAMING" it kindda turns me off.

that looks and sounds like a decent deal. with cherry switches. and a full sized kb.
not only just that, the backplate, the flexibility of a programmable PCB, the switches, the casing, the key layout, all makes a difference.
for example, i find that the Varmilo that I'd bought from taobao tend to be a little loud and sound very metalic due tot the backplate used. some cheap keyboards come with plastic casing that really makes the whole keyboard feels very cheap even if it's mechanical. it's also quite tough to get those very niche layout (e.g. 40%, 75%, 90%, redscarf III, etc) on a mainstream brand.
the enthusiast keyboards (e.g. lightsavers) try to overcome all these problems by using good parts that they are able to get their hands on, and probably allow a certain level of flexibility as well. the thing is.. they are really darn costly, to say the least.
