A new Surface Pro is being launched now. Press release should be out in a few hours.
Global rollout in June 15.
Singapore isn't in the first launch wave.
I'll wait for detailed reviews before I decide. If it's 13.5 hours with video or youtube as claimed, it would mean 15-18hrs of office usage which is great.
8GB not enough for me also. Blame it on CHrome.
Ideally, I would get an i5, 256GB Drive and 16GB RAM but of course that is not available.

I'm looking for a "tablet" with full OS, so narrowing down to surface 3 because of the size. Is it still worth getting the 10 inch surface 3?
SP4 is my first Surface device. Read a lot reviews, SP4 is the version that Microsoft finally got it right. I not saying surface 3 is not worth getting. If u can get a brand new & it fits ur rquirements, go ahead. If 2nd hand, then i rather u get a new SP4 since it is on discount now.
U cant change the battery, hence getting a used unit may come with a batt with lousy life.
I have both. Actually it was Surface Pro 3 that got it right. SP4 is just lighter and faster. SP4 is also released with a much better keyboard. Before that Microsoft tried funny versions of Windows and the keyboard back then was terrible.

Pro is not the one with 10 inch right? I'm looking at smaller one for mobility. Is the non-pro surface 3 good enough for normal video streaming? Cos my work requires that on a full OS.

Is this thread open for discussions of ALL surface devices? I am considering between Surface Pro & Surface Laptop. Checking spec-wise, Surface Pro seems to be better especially with this year's iteration. The only bad thing is I have to pay extra for the detachable keyboard. I am thinking of getting a wireless mechanical 60% keyboard instead of Surface keyboard. The only thing Surface Laptop wins from Pro is that it has better laptop experience & durability.
Any suggestion? BTW I am starting to be interested with Surface after browsing thru ultrabooks and Macbooks. Surface seems to be a good Macbook replacement. I like retina Macbook but the spec is really offputting compared to its price.
My usage won't be anything heavy. Normal browsing/music listening/video watching, Excel, programming, graphic design (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop or alternative), music creation, and some light video editing.
SP3's fan always turns on when you watch video or having a big firmware update or performs a full virus scan
SP4 don't suffer from this problem
