I just bought one yesterday weee :) Anyone tried running Android on this thing? I'm using AmiDUOS and it didn't seem as fast as I expected it to be :/ It feels almost just a little bit faster than my T100 even though the specs are so much better. Weird.

I'm actually getting some weird issues with my charger. When charging the system I can actually feel prickly sensations when I touch the back of the SF3. Anyone else experiencing this?

Also, when I charge my phone (Note 3) together with the SF3, the SF3 stops charging intermittently (charge/ no charge/ charge/ no charge, etc). Is this normal?

they never ground the casing that's why got prickly feeling. I pasted skin on my surface pro so no issue now.

static is normal while charging, known problem.
the second part i don't have that issue, assuming you are charging via the brick.

Yes I'm charging using the brick. I tried a variety of cables and different phones, and it's always the same issue. Once the phone is plugged in, the tablet stops charging for about 5 seconds, then resumes, then stops charging again.

I think I'll just bring it back to the shop :/

Can I check with you guys: Does your kickstand become slightly wobbly when you open it towards larger angles? When my kickstand goes past the 90 degrees mark it wobbles. :(

Yes it is a known AC leakage

Since there is no ground wire on the adapter, it leak some current in the case. I encountered the intermittent charging with usb on the adapter is used to charge my iphone6 too. RMA is useless, they will replace another one with the same problem. :s8:

The battery life is quite disappointing. I'm getting about 3.5 to 4 hours for doing just programming with the brightness set at 30%. (There's about 2-3 PDFs open while I'm doing my work).

This is a fresh unit that just went through a full Windows Update with nothing else installed. Is this normal or do I need to get my unit checked?

I'm going to do a full reformat now and literally install nothing and test again :(

I KNEW IT! Okay so I'll just assume that my charger is just badly designed :/ thanks for the information

Not sure if it has got to do with the phone being charged. What phone are you using? My Note 3 needs a 2A supply but the rating at the back says that the USB port only outputs 1A. I would expect some kind of smarter current limiting in the charger though :/

3.5-4 hours sounds normal for a surface pro 3 when you're doing work.

Holy :( that's kind of disappointing.

I actually watched this video test where they managed to run a video for over 7 hours with full brightness here:

I feel like trying the same thing tonight with mine and see if it gets the same :/

It is very annoying to have a tingling sensation everytime when you touch the mag alloy case.

There is a stop gap measure to stop the ac current leakage, you need to plug out the socket wire connecting to the brick and then rotate it 180d to change the directions of the pins. Reinsert the pins into the power brick and there will not be anymore leakage.

Wah I tried reversing the thing. I still get the shocks occasionally lehs :/ issit because I didn't push it in enough or something. Not sure if we can find a third-party charger with proper electrical grounding :(

edit: By the way can your tablet last like the one in the video above?
