Where can i get the "first part" (3pin plug to the block) of the adapter? Or do i need to a brand new set of adapter just for the first part?

If your projects are just Word and PowerPoint, then Surface 3 will do. Note that non pro series don't come with the pen. You can use the Pro 4 pen on Surface 3 though!

I'm considering a second hand sp3 i5 8gb or new sp4 i5 4gb. Want to ask if sp3 still have issue with heating issue? I just mainly for torrent, office, and mt4, which I think sp3 can meet my daily task. I only concern with heat.

i bought surface pro 4 type cover and the surface pro 4 pen and i'm lovin it!

edit: but i dropped my sp3 and now the glass popped out and there's a dent and i have no idea how ot fix it

When I got my SP4 pen at the Microsoft website, it was listed as the same price as the SP3 pen. The SP4 pen feels good to hold and the tip is interchangeable so it's worth it anyway

Anyone using SP4 type cover with SP3 like me?

When the cover is folded back completely, and I try to turn on my system (from standby), the screen will turn on and immediately turn off, like as if the SP3 thinks that the type cover is folded close at the front instead.

I can only turn on my system when I move the type cover away from the back of the system. I presume type cover detection is based on magnetism, and somehow the magnetism is strong enough for my SP3 to think that the cover is closed in front and not folded back?

The SP3 adapter is readily available at most large stores like Harvey Norman and Challenger. Have u checked out these places?

The SP3 and SP4 both use same adapter
