Haha, in the mist of being poisoned. But the external rads doesnt appeal to me that much

Haha, yea. I still love playing with fans!! Have u gotten urs?

Don't like external rad upgrade ur casing to a bigger one...and put the rad inside. That way u won't have excuse not to go wc liao...

U and ur fans... haiz... err... no leh... maybe I was blind or wat but went to those few shops last Sat can't see any... :o Didn't ask the staff also... anyway... since price is back to normal... I hold on to my horse awhile 1st... use the money for some other thing now.... :D

We should gang up and poison repel to go wc... lai lai!!! :p

Imo if you want your rads inside, just get a big case with proper WC fittings.

If you don't mind your rads outside, just get any case you like :D

I don't mind my rads outside!!! :s13: Don't mind putting it inside as well if it fits... but then again... there could be a difference between having the rad in or out of the casing. If the air flow in my casing sux then it's still better I keep it out...

I think there were some issues with the MCR Drive and as such it is not widely available to resellers, and from what I hear it is actually more expensive than buying individual components. You can try asking sabe about it.

The pump is secured with worm clamps, the cheaper option as opposed to compression fittings :o

Hi there,

I asked Sabe 2 months ago if he wasn't bringing it in but he said no at that time. =(

The MCR 320 Drive is fine piece of hardware, got it from http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ . I just got it installed with 3x Scythe GT 1450rpms. It's possible to use compression fittings on it. But it comes included with barbs and plastic clamps, they are ugly but they work.

It's quite expensive but considering savings on 4 fittings + pump + reservoir, it's only about 40-50 more at most vs a traditional setup. The big plus point is that it's a great way to start WC without fuss. But it needs a different way to bleed coz it requires some tinkering with funnels etc.

You idle temps are VERY impressive (32c). I am currently hitting ~38c with a HK 3.0 (1/2ID 3/4OD) for 29c ambient and hitting 59c for prime95 load for CPU only loop.

What is your current ambient if I may ask? Coz if you are doing <5c delta on a 360rad + 2 blocks + 1000rpms, it's very hardcore.

About Feser 1 dyes, here's a link. They tend to break down.

Doesn't look good for long term use, but if you plan to change coolant every few months it should be fine.

Woo didn't know someone in sg had it... hows the noise from the pump like?

Yea it looks damn easy to setup... but as a trade off I guess you're paying more yet you're receiving weaker pumps/res...

Normal idle temps 35-36C :o

32C is the low peak... almost never get that :)

My room has aircon with around ~25-26 degs ambient (weak window casement :s13:)... benches all done with rpms @ 1500rpms... hmm I guess I wasn't clear about that in my review, will clarify...

Hi!

You're right about the weak pump and res. It's a MCP350 pump. Was thinking of modding it to MCP355 with solder but I have it on my desk and it's really quiet so I am ok atm. :D I was really afraid of leaks as this is my work computer so I didn't want to make it too complex as it was my 1st wc setup. Noobie.

Your CPU delta temp is 10c even with the FC GPU block. Still very impressive man.

Oic... time to upgrade your setup then :D

Oh and I know about the issue with the coloured coolant as well... but its too hard to pass up UV + blue coolant in the tubes :D

Now I have my UV CCFLs sitting around... can't wait to set them up... and post more pics heh

No la. Can't upgrade, I am quite happy to have a 10c delta on the CPU on idle. Too much poison. :D When I do raw processing on the machine, I don't go beyond 59c so it's ok. I just got a EK FC for my 295, will be putting that on another simple mcr320drive loop this weekend.

I must say the blue coolant looks very pretty.
