i search high and low.
then i realised the lack of HDMI ports on Qnix and Crossover.
and the the limitations of HDMI
AND that my laptop has HDMI :(

G D I !!!!
*bangs head on table *

I thought Crossover has HDMI ports for some of their models.

This monitor just got delivered to me. Ordered on 17 May 2012. So including weekends, total take about 5days to reach me.

Now is to inspect the set liao.

Ok. Gotten my 1st set on 17 May 2012 and yesterday 29 Jan 2014, one of the monitor got this problem :

And from the feedback, the fix is this :

I read online that some of them actually open up the monitor and found the connection lose, they re-inserted and ok already.

Will try that later.

Just reading this thread now and thinking of moving to a single monitor setup. I have 3 23" monitors in nvidia surround... But its quite a hassle and I think I have outgrown playing on 3 screens. Thinking of buying a 27" LCD 1440p display

I am doing a lot of photo editing and movie editing and would like a monitor with really good image quality. Can you guys help me with selecting a monitor. I will order after the Chinese new year is over as I dont want my shipment to be stuck somewhere.

Few doubts
* Which panel to order if I want to make sure I get the apple cinema display panel. I believe its 27" panels like Qnix, Shimian. Cause in Shimian they have one panel with and eco bezel which looks quite good
* Any panel options with HDMI. I use chromecast with my tablet sometimes
* Panel with pivot option or should I buy a separate stand

if you want HDMI, look for the multi input panel. But you cant OC with that. You can get the pivot ver, model with a xxxxx-P indicates a pivot. If you have a seperate stand, it can be used also since the monitor has VESA100 mounting. But it may be a hassle to remove the stand from the monitor.

As for colour reproduction, if that it is really important, go for Dell. More ex, but should b good for professional usage.

Thank you for your input... I do like the option of OCing my display as I have already OCed my system.

Maybe I get a HD capture card and connect the chromecast to that if needed. I am not a professional (as I dont get paid). Just a hobby so I am fine with a display which looks good. If this panel is apple B panel I am fine with the color.

Any difference between QNIX, Shimian or any other other options. Or are all of them just same panels in different packages

I would say that you might not get used to a single monitor setup. This Korean monitors are fantastic. Good colour and good viewing angles.
