Sorry... just a little OT.

Have a OEM GTX 745
connections available :Dual Link DVI-D, HDMI, VGA

"3840x2160 at 30Hz or 4096x2160 at 24Hz supported over HDMI. 4096x2160 (including 3840x2160) at 60Hz supported over Displayport. Support for 4k tiled MST displays requires 326.19 driver or later."

Does it mean to get the best out of this monitor, would be to use the Dual Link DIV-D ?

Dell is coming next Monday to collect the 2 sets of U3415w and issue a refund. Wonder if anyone has a perfect panel?

SOrry OOT abit

After following U3415W for some time.... I started to get poisonned by this:

Philips BDM4065UC

4K 40" VA Panel (not TV).... this is great size for 4k monitor
Any review? and the price is only about 100+ more than U3415W.

my one bleed all 4 corners. looks like no "bleed" :s13:

Luckily I don't like to do much stuffs in pitch black room, but I do notice blb at 4 corners at times, but it doesn't bothers me so I give it a pass. Like I mentioned, no point exchanging now as current revision same issues, wait for 6 months or a year later and exchange you will see better revision, happened on my U2713hm

I saw that monitor. It rox for a 4k panel. One should take a look first before a u3415w.

The screen estate is darn big. No ips glow. But if you were to see it from distance this guy rox.

Actually it might be too big to be comfortable, unless you don't mind swaying your head around often, imo U3415W might be the perfect size per distance as it's 27inch on vertical, but this is subjective. Until I take a look at it personally since its same diagonally

Then you must check your gpu got support hdmi 2.0 if not it will run at 30hz nia. This is what happened when I use my adapter for my laptop's mDP to Monitor HDMI

If I'm not into gaming, mostly using for work, at 30Hz any issue displaying 3440x1440? Will my screen flicker?

No hdmi2.0
only hdmi

if only using for work (word processing etc), and youtube watching, will 30hz be that bad?

I'm not sure will it flicker most probably not as I don't notice it.

But 30hz is SUPER bad, you can feel and actually see the lag, as you move your mouse or scrolling around Web pages or doc process. For Video watching it might be okay, as most movies and videos are recorded at just 23 to 29 frames.

For normal usage, like browsing etc definitely a no.

I think the HDMI on my card is 1.4, as HDMI 2.0 is so expensive ($500+?), any recommendation for card with DisplayPort?

Not sure about hdmi 2.0 cable pricing haha, don't have those $10 ones?

Card all the new GTX 900 series have it, the latest and cheaper Gtx 960 has 4 dispayport for the reference model
