They should at least response that they will try their best to get the 6 cell battery for singaporean.

And not to say that if you not happy with the 3 cell battery you can be remove from the pre order list.

None of my concern but my sympathies is with corbell having to deal with such nasty bratty customers.

As far as I can see on other preorder sites... they are all offering the 3 cell battery as default. And on expansys.com.sg, the pre order is at S$850+ not inclusive of delivery.

Poor corbell.

im sry. but i think the 1st bratty comment didnt come from the consumers themselves.

if prices arent a factor within his control, just say so? just a clean and neat answer will do. but wat have we gotten instead? sarcastic and caustic remark? and that was after pages of patience waiting for answers.

Eh but the 399USD is the linux version. The S$799 is the WinXP version which is supposedly priced at 549USD.

The exchange rate I looked up at DBS is 1.3875.

The GST rate as far as I know is 7%.

USD549x1.3875x1.07=S$815

Granted the USD549 allegedly have a 6 cell battery according to a blogger. But online preorder on expansys indicated 3 cell also. So I think this is really unfair of the guys to whack corbell based on iffy information.

Anyway Corbell is right - let's just wait for the sample so that a conclusive test can be done to settle the issue of "How much battery life do you get on a 3-cell?".

and the diff is linux and xp,512mb ram and 1gb and got bluetooth... all this cant be for 150 usd.. a 6 cell instead of 3 cells batt makes a lot more sense...

By the way the MSI Wind is reported to be out on 3 June in the US at retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon and Costco. Taken from the Wiki entry.

That should give everyone some idea of when it's arriving here: Start of June.
