In Malaysia, you need to manage risk by buying completed project. You probably paying more for a peace of mind for a completed project. Anything can happen during the building process (eg covid, property bubble, whatever policies that affect it). That's say there always political risk as well, that someday, a less Singapore-friendly Malaysia government take over and thing may change for those Singaporeans who own the property there. So buy completed project better?

At the end of the day, it is the risk level and type of risk that you need to be aware of, and not just because it may be cheap to stay there.
Do due diligence first ah.So buy completed project better?
To be honest, no one knows what will happen if Anwar government fails. Even with the RTS (Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System) as leverage, future tensions may still arise. Issues like the water agreement expiring in 30 years could also become political. They might even introduce new rules to tax foreigners further, especially those who own property there. Not to say it will definitely happen, but there is certainly risk that people need to be aware of, and one should not depend on the Singapore government to bail them out or provide assistance.Dear selemuse,
If Anwar government falls, what happen to the condos and the RTS?
Confidence for the future. More good years ahead... Let us take Singapore forward together.
Thank you.
