sure, just like lying about one's exam marks, save you some face/ perk up your ego for a few moments, but wouldn't save you from that rotten feeling afterwards.

anyway, anyone can save up for months to own a 10K watch, just like handbags for the ladies.

Not everybody is willing to pay $16K for a genuine Rolex Sub. Some don't even that amount of money.

$100 for a fake Rolex is OK for them. Even if it stops working after 3 weeks, or water gets inside, their loss is limited to a hundred bucks. It gives them a bit of cheap thrill...if they like the design or the feeling of being somebody rich and all that.

Recently saw a tatooed 20s looking ah beng boarded at Canberra MRT and he was wearing a "Rolex".

Black t shirt
Ang kongs on the entire arms and legs
Short jeans

I dunno lah, but I doubt his watch is real.

So end of the day, u need to have the looks and confidence to pull off the Rolex look, whether you own a real or fake one is immaterial.

I also spot many times tattooed beer bellied ah peks at coffeeshops wif gold rolex wearing singlet and bermudas.

Just doesn't cut it.

I have a fake Patek Philippe, I wear it wherever I go to important business events, like exhibitions, seminars, workshops etc.

everyone always thought it's real, but I will always straight up say it's not. bought from Thailand for $150. Looks really good etc.

And I recently bought a real Omega Aqua Terra Seamaster 150m and I will say, so I have retired my patek philippe.

ya I agree to this. I use to see a few in china. The pearl is already tell tale.

I did have a milgrass (AAA) of course. Brought it around 700.
To be honest. If without the brand. The quality is really good. Last me till 6 years not a single issue.

Till I save up enough to buy a seiko currently.

I understand that inside, they use a quite good watch mechanism ====> Seagull.

You are buying a Seagull watch which is housed in a case which copies the Rolex Sub or Deep Sea design. It's still a good watch, never mind whatever it is being called.

the really good fakes term themselves superclones.

they range about 800sgd.

they are very bad for the rolex brand.

the latest submariner superclones telltales are only visible under microscope or at least a loupe.

i worry rolex will loose its prestige and repeat the mistakes of panerai.

panerai had perfect clones too and it diluted the brand name because you can no longer tell if a person was wearring the real thing.

end of the day, you might get some looks of envy from strangers/friends but it's still a fake, what's the point?

It may not be looks of envy from those who know about fake Rolexes being sold online, or if you dress like a typical lau ah beng uncle.

You'd be lucky if they give you a patronising look, take pity on you, thinking that you really like to own a Rolex but you have a hard life, cannot afford to buy one, and this is about the best you can afford to buy as a consolation, and a bit of happiness in your sad life. So poor thing, you.

If you are not so lucky, you get looks of sneers...like being despised instead of being envied.

If it is real, the only people who would gift this to you is prolly your mother whose husband is a multi millionaire, who is your father....or your father who is a multimillionaire, or some business associate in China who wishes to bribe you, or wants to make you feel obligated, and he of course would not be giving you a fake.

If the above do not apply to you, that is, if you are just a low ses bbfa, then, I can say for a fact that it is a fake.

PS: The size of the date "27" is a giveaway already...it's fake.

Because China precision CNC machines are just as high tech as the ones used by Rolex.

Reverse engineering of the casing and dials are very identical to the real thing now.
The movement is hidden inside, so no gals/sexperts will know it's fake without opening it up.

I know because I have plenty of such AAA++ grades watches.

I think the fake rolex fails cos there is tick tcik sound when watch put near to ear.

Rolex is cannot hear one.
Fake rolex can hear.

The seller very confident say this one is the highest grade one, cannot be identify without dismantling it.

So he bring it to his usual shop which sell second hand luxury watch at Far East Plaza there, the boss see already say he cannot confirm is fake one.

After this, when i see people owning alot of rolex watches will make me wonder...
