Just got a call from MyRepublic - beta testing for pre-launch installation appointment fixed on 24th March :s12:

If the beta installation appointment is on 24th March, then the rest of the non-beta installation will be probably in mid April or even May.

We've started calling customers in certain COs to start scheduling beta instal from 19th march for the first guys. We will be calling a lot of people over next few days/weeks but they need to give us done time. Very location dependant as we are able to book time slots with opennet only for Ayer rajah and east COs right now.

Just received a call from MR as well.. installation date will be on the 24th as well :)

Finally, I can call in to terminate my singnet ADSL but will have to bear without an internet connection during the weekend.. lol

Advise u to keep the adsl until your fibre is up ...

Later delay for months u cry ...

Why not? If I don't terminate my adsl I will be paying the full rate instead of contract price for an extra month for nothing as my contract ends in march.. I can survive the weekend without an internet conx..

Murphy's Law
just a precaution.

Delay for months? As in opennet side cockup or? Cos my TP is already there and since this is my first time using fibre what should I be aware of?

But thanks, point taken..

the back end of OpenNet as it is beyond any ISP if the capacity for your block is fully used.
This is just one of the typical example.

hmm i dun see a TP installed in my flat then how?

If there is no TP installed, then MR has to make an arrangement with OpenNet to install the TP (at an additional charge) first before the installation. Thus, the lead time will definitely be longer depending on OpenNet schedule.

Normally the TP is installed beside the TV point so just double check again.

Which ISP are you using for your Internet?

Nope. $58 is the one-time standard service activation charge for ULTRA and GAMER.

You can refer to A Clear & Complete List of MyRepublic Fibre Broadband One-Time Charges.

I think there is a IT Show 2014 promotion - free OpenNet TP Installation.

Just make sure that your landlord is agreeable to the TP installation.
