Hi wwexian, I've sent you a PM.

The email is wrong and was sent in error. Rest assured that we're not rescheduling anyone to 2015 - there was an error in the backend system, and we've temporarily disabled automatic email notifications till it's fixed.

The actual date of reschedule depends on OpenNet, and is usually a couple of days later, most certainly not one year.

Really sorry about the miscomm.

Interesting, I thought the supposedly buggy notification was disabled since then. Strangely you got the 2015 appointment yet again.

Hi Kelvin

I have received a sms telling me OpenNet is facing issues that MyRepublic therefore cannot proceed?!??!?! My OpenNet appointment was served last Friday and according to the person whom checked the signal, he said the signal all ok. I like to know what is the problem from MyRepublic or OpenNet or??? I have also plan leave on Saturday but at least I received the sms Today that I can cancel. Can you tell is it going to be served in 2015? I think I need a contingency plan also...thanks in advance

Hi, everyday we will submit list of customers to be install within the next few days to open net and at 6pm they will revert back to us. We will send sms to customers to inform them of the delays which could be 1-2hours or few weeks.

After which we will postpone the installation to a later date which is 2015.

Once open net say yes, the area is capable of supporting the new network. We will contact our customers and reschedule to the nearest available date.

Sorry to those who received the "2015" email. =( We identified the bug in our system and fixed it already. You should also be receiving another email to clarify matters.

To clarify again - no one is being scheduled for 2015. The system auto-sent that email in error.

Don't worry Spyder, the 2015 email was sent in error. We'll get back to you the moment OpenNet updates us on a proper date.

As for OpenNet arriving, telling you everything is okay and then still having your installation rescheduled... What happened is that OpenNet sent a field engineer to verify that the termination point and fibre is ready for the 1Gbps (I suspect in your case it might have been a fibre-takeover process). However, OpenNet later discovered there isn't enough fibre resources in their infrastructure to set up the 1Gbps. So, they inform us that you need to be rescheduled, as they need to install more fibre resources in the backend.

In all honesty, we're more than a little frustrated that this is happening as well. The moment OpenNet updates us, we'll arrange for a new installation date for you. All such affected cases are huge priority for MyRepublic.

Anyway, is static IP a must to connect to a PPTP VPN server? Tried with PC/iOS/Android all cannot work. Used to be able to work with my ADSL :(

From what you described of your situation I believe that you're not able to connect because you're not on static. You mentioned your friend on 100mbps PURE being able to connect to PPTP, is he on static ? If so yea :zotto:

if U cannot...buzz me...try vpn into my system here....
Hi, thanks for your advice but I enabled everything for my asus n66u WAN-NAT passthru
and it still doesn't work.

My previous adsl hookup didn't have any issues though. If you could let me try to connect to your pptp VPN that'll be great. Thanks in advance..

P.S can't send you PM as your quota is full..

I received the SMS to postpone the date yesterday night. Opennet has already been installed and sorted out, so i'm not sure why there is an issue with opennet. To make things worse, my M1's contract has ended. I'm currently paying $20 more per month. To make things worse, I've already cancelled my M1 connection, not to mention that i've alreadyd paid the 235 termination fee to Singtel when i terminated their contract. This has been a disaster for me. So many issues. What is happening here MR?

M1 and Singtel? Anyway, always wait for new service to be up before canceling old one.
Hope your issue gets resolved asap.
