Emm not really sure what u mean.
OK, I am using AC68. Before that using N66u and both showing 150. But when I plug in usbn53 it will change to 300. The reason y I use usbn53 is bcoz my lappy does not have 5ghz. And the speed tested for 5ghz when using
150mbps plan was 120mbps and since the 1Gb plan, I tested only 150mbps +/- 10mbps which supposing shld be more than that.

Did u activate ASUS router 5Ghz? May be only activated 2.4Ghz on router. N53 adaptor should be at least 300Mbps.

heard from the MR tech guy that Yishun members will get 900++ thruput. The rest may not be that high. and he argued that this is still in beta.

I guess this is definitely not the case for me.
I happen to be in Yishun. :s13:

Guys,

Just to let everyone know that I have been played out by Opennet & MyRepublic with regards to the 1gbps installation.

My installation date was scheduled for tomorrow (28Mar14). Apart from the original call a few weeks back arranging the appointment, I did not receive any email/call from MR confirming the appointment thereafter.

I had to proactively reach out to them by calling their hotline (nobody picked up), trying their online chatroom (no operator online), sending email to their MR support (given ticket number but never received any response). Only after dropping an email to Nivek1985 did he finally reply yesterday evening (26Mar14) confirming the appointment.

Thinking that the appointment was confirmed, I applied for leave to be around for the installation. Around 9plus this evening, I received an SMS informing that the Fibre takeover had been rescheduled to 31Mar14. It was like the family members receiving an SMS informing them that the Malaysian PM had declared MH370 crashed into the Indian Ocean. Really impersonal. Come on MR, where's the customer service?

Someone finally called me later but still couldn't even confirm the 31Mar14 installation date. Really frustrating and not sure how to proceed.

MR, you really need to get your act in order. To all those considering signing with MR or switching to the 1Gbps plan, I strongly suggest you think twice and hold off on your decision. This MR and Opennet issue is not going to be resolved anytime soon. The worst part is that, us, as end users, suffer the most.

Got an SMS from them yesterday about this. Originally scheduled for installation on 11 Apr(I signed up in Jan-Feb I think) but now no idea when it's gonna happen.

Well you are not alone... :s22:
I also had my MR 1Gbps installed today and not getting the advertised speed.

Download speed fall around 200+mbps

I hope MR fix this. It's beta phase so I'm giving MR sometime.

If things doesn't improve, I'm jumping ship when my contract ends.

:(

Do share your international speed like Hong Kong, Japan and US. International speed may be same as 300Mbps plan.

Installed at 1200 @ 290314

Speedtest done at 1255

Only done MR and HK only as US and Japan test results CMI. (may be server issue)

Saying beta is not a reason as they already launch it and any one can sign up for it. In real beta phrase, they will get user to try out for free in different part of sg. May be north, south, east, west & central before launch.
