Do you mean you get something from the speedtest now ? I just lowered my MTU on windows to 1472 since I can't do a thing about the MTU on the router just to see if there are any differences.

Did it worked out ?

Thank you, means changing the MTU on windows did help.

Speedtest to MR seems to have improved as well compared to the results I had earlier.

Halp, facebook chat working properly for anyone on browser? I connect to internet with the new plan, facebook chat totally see nothing but everything else working fine. Change browser no difference. When I tether my phone to my router, facebook chat works fine. Wtf?

i managed to solve my Ethernet stuck at 100mbps issue. Turns out my RealTek PCIe card setting has this "Auto Disable Gigabit" setting enabled to "Re-Link, Battery or AC". Disabling it did the trick. Chao turban!! Didn't realized i had this turned on all this while.

Anyway, here is my pathetic throughput speed on 1gbps plan.

This morning it's my turn for MR installation, finger cross.

MR, this is my speed using wire, direct to ONT.
Do you think this is acceptable?? Can you do something?? I may be a noob but I dun expect a one sentence reply from the PM.


Since after the installation, this is what I had observe :


1 Slower speed than 150mbps that I use to have. Intermittent connection off.


2 website like alipay, kazeebo was extremely slow. Dun bull me about the china website slowness. Cause when I use to have the 150mb plan, I do not have any issue with it. Can watch movie and serve without any lag for anytime of the day.


3 Internet intermittent no network. At least 3 times since yesterday nite.


4 I have not receive my new static ip address.


5 I really need help!!

My internet connection on my lappie is showing only 150mbps instead of at least 300mbps. This is what I puzzle about.

Answer to your question is simple.

It is because you are using basic 5Ghz N standard wifi adaptor. If you use 2.4 Ghz wifi then max is 75Mbps. If you upgrade to AC Router just get a AC standard usb 3.0 wifi adaptor and your issue will be solved.

ASUS N56U is N600 with both 2.4 & 5Ghz at 300Mbps. Just buy a higher speed usb adaptor will resolve the issue.

Emm not really sure what u mean.
OK, I am using AC68. Before that using N66u and both showing 150. But when I plug in usbn53 it will change to 300. The reason y I use usbn53 is bcoz my lappy does not have 5ghz. And the speed tested for 5ghz when using
150mbps plan was 120mbps and since the 1Gb plan, I tested only 150mbps +/- 10mbps which supposing shld be more than that.
