Hi

I'm new here. I'm a usenet and torrent user and was reading the earlier forum threads from 2012 ...

Just wondering if MR had resolved the issues with Astraweb now? and what is the best usenet server to use with MR? I'm tried both Tweaknews.eu and Usenetserver.com - and I'm peaking at 3.5MBps.

Also - my FTP downloads from Feralhosting are <1MBps.

Don't think MR did anything to improve routing with Astraweb. Stopped using Astra on MR for sometime so things may have changed.

I think bottom line is that Usenet is not on the priority list for MR engineers. So the speeds you are getting now is likely to be what you will be getting a year down the road as well.

hmm, stream is not playing.

edit: funny thing is, stream is playing via twitch app on android. wirelessly
nevertheless, it has been not smooth over the past week. (at least for me) and it looks to be the same as I am typing this reply.

2nd edit: alright, half an hour later. alls fine now

No one will make noise (or praise) when the internet is good. But they will pour in and claim everything sucks and demand termination even if it's a minor issue such as their cable spoil haha.. Humans.

Hi I just bought a smart tv and it is connected directly to Myrepublic via cable. Is it possible to surf the teleport sites on my tv? If so, What config needs to be changed on the tv? I tried surfing hulu.com but can't load properly.

Just go to the smart tv browser, and go to huluplus etc. should be able to work.

same here, used to stream smoothly over wireless. these two weeks, can't stream at all.
anyway one reason for me could be congested 2.4 band thus causing bad connection.
