anybody having intermittent lag spike issues recently? my ping in games will suddenly just go all the way up to 1000 ms n then drop back to normal. it occurs really frequently and it is srsly damn irritating.

tried to call customer service no one answer. go to their live chat also no one there. hope they reply the message that i sent. zzz.

Ummm do people even read the content of the thread at all before posting? Did you actually go through my post?

I'm not a networking engineer but I am more than savvy enough to know if my equipment is failing and have certainly done a fair share of troubleshooting on my end before coming on to the forum to complain about it.

This spike problem certainly doesn't 'affect every users of MR but a reasonable portion of it" since at the same time people started coming on to post of lag spikes and unresponsive page loading time and I being one of them.

Seeing how the forum assistance have turned to nothing, I'm not hoping that anyone will be able to jump in with a resolution but more or less to share it with MR users themselves and if anyone is having the same issue, call MR up and make them see that there is a problem and it is not just you alone.

Mr Justin one of the weekend supervisor of MR have already promised me and personally updated me since a good talk with him on a saturday night that they are looking into it from the back-end and I'll probably get another update on this coming Wednesday.

PS: I'm gonna dig out the old TP-LINK 1043ND once I can find it in the storeroom to do more test just to prove to some people that have a million and one reason to disprove someone's issue but I am pretty damn certain MR needs to fix something back there.

And if anyone need my system specs it is in my signature and no I'm not smirking but just to lighten the mood of this post, the specs is more than enough to wet a gaming geek.

Bro you do know that although running vmware, ultimately the connection still go through your host before going to the internet right?

I just tested, im getting 3-4ms constantly.
Do you have another computer to do a test on? so can isolate the where exactly the problem lies.

Since you are using merlin

Under Advanced Settings/Network Tools

Can u use their to do a ping to the ip address?

I use vmware to isolate any "software/os" related issue like "OS/firewall" or "_insert _other_strange_reasons_". My vmware is on separate NIC of it's own as well.

Then can you try a direct ping from the router where i have provided the steps above?

Looks like Justin kept his promise to get me a resolution by Wednesday.

Finally it has improved after I teamviewer back home to do the test, I wonder if they fixed it specifically for me or for the other users that are lagging badly as well, hopefully the latter.

Behold the difference as compared to a night before.

Ping to MR and a client's singnet connection.

What you requested, but do note this is after MR did something on the back-end already with results I have posted earlier in in this post itself.

cyberet is right, I'm pretty damn sure though doing a ping right in the router itself, we won't be getting any difference if the issue had persisted. All along I knew it was nothing on my end since but I would love to know the reason for all the spikes and erratic ping for the past whole month.

We've been working hard on integrating and testing a new system for months now and we're finally glad to announce the upcoming launch of a new, upgraded MyAccount portal!

Here's a sneak peek:

Shiny right?

More than just a new look, this new MyAccount has been redesigned to be:

More intuitive and easier to navigate
Clearer in displaying information such as one's contract details
More useful with new features like the ability to subscribe / unsubscribe to add-ons such as Teleport
The new MyAccount will also run on a new customer-relations management (CRM) system, enabling us to serve you better and deliver improvements on areas such as billing processes.

Our IT Engineers will be rolling out the upgrade in phases over the next four weeks, during which certain services may be taken off-line for a short-period of time. Rest assured that we will be informing you beforehand what these services are and when they are expected to return.

Is that the reason why they have not been replying to support requests for recent months?

Hi, I'm receiving poor and intermittent signal at the 2nd level of my apartment and my movie streaming keep buffering.

My house is a 2 level apartment and my Zhone is near the main door. Will it help if I get the Asus AC-68 and put it at the 2nd level as a wireless AP?

u on wrong thread?

Sadly, just installed the MR recently(less than a month), have been experience the same issue with other users here too..SPIKING!!

IE, FF, and other blah blah browser(Just in case someone say try blah blah browser) stop loading at times and need to keep refreshing it.

My mobile phone can d/c from the wireless even when i am beside my router(Tried 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, even through this is quite stupid, just in case someone say try 2.4 instead of 5.)

Maybe i should just stop the payment.

You can try. I am sure based on your above statement you would have a solid reason to do so. I am also sure your mobile phone is not the one doing the disconnecting. I am also sure your using a MR branded router.. the last time I took a look at my one.. it says ASUS. Nonetheless.. everything is sure to be MR fault! Yes. Go demand a stop payment and see what happens.

Are you MR staff? :s8: or some service line people that keep getting hammer by your poor service?
