Since their customer service is redundant, I think you can go down to Suntec and ask their staff there. I think I saw their big boss there today.

If 1 Gbps connection has issues with streaming... I cannot recommend MR already...

me changing from old Pure 100 to the new Pure 300 soon (which requires the new ONT) .. was streaming ESL Toronto these few days at source quality and 40k+ viewers, along with normal web browsing and climbing bukit timah with no issues.. will report back here with any changes in my connection. Fingers crossed that the upgrade won't bring any problems

anyone xperiencing same problems as i do? internet connection keeps breaking off and reconnecting at night starting 9ish~ 2ish~ .. its been 2-3nights. =(

Let us know man... this is a serious issue for all those wanting to sign up for MR in the future...

My experience might not be representative of a new subscriber as I'm not a new subscriber and all the fibre infrastructure is already in place, so those looking to sign MR should take my upcoming remarks with a pinch of salt.

That being said, I wish I took a look at some of the replies in this thread before agreeing to the 300mbps upgrade appt when the csvc called me.. I'm not very optimistic after reading from pg.510 onwards but what to do, already arranged appt with them and I'll incur penalty fees if I cancel, plus twitch.tv streaming isn't a priority for me anyway. I'm more concerned about video sites like youtube, climbing up and down bukit timah, uploading to mega and ping for certain impt apps.. it would help greatly if some of the bros here could suggest some tools/sites to test bandwidth throughput/ping to provide a reliable and objective benchmark for my feedback. Any suggestions much appreciated

Haha I dun dare to jump after hearing so much about the teething problems they had with 1GB when it came out... maybe you'll have a better experience. Let us know how it goes

MyRepublic DNS problem

Hello experts and tech support from MyRepublic,
Recently I have issues with MyRepublic default DNS while surfing Facebook. Many pictures are not loading. I did try to change the auto DNS to the MyRepublic DNS 103.11.48.190 and 103.11.48.126, but this did not solve the problem. After changing to Google DNS of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4, the problem has been resolved but my surfing speed is greatly lowered.

I just upgraded to 1gbps ULTRA package few months ago and this problem came after the upgrade. Can MyRepublic technician look into this problem? Also any advice from experts in this forum is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much

Same for me, i no choice am using hotspot shield vpn to watch twitch now. No point have 1 gbps, when cant even get a steady 10mbps from twitch site

Are you on Automatic IP or Static IP under WAN Connection Type in your router page?

Me like you jump from old pure to 300mbps but mine was ard end July. Bukit Timah i got no issue i dl those w high seed like Kshownow etc. Initally got alot of problem as i cant game due to hugh ping and zero stream on China site. Was ok under Pure, but lately 2 weeks no issue on China stream and game. Like u said my case might not be representative
