any users here frequently visit china video sites like tudou or youku ? what the connection like? i am on SH fibre 100 and the connection sucks. page cannot load most of the time and my speedtest results on guangzhou, shenzhen servers like below 1mbps all the time..

appreciate if anyone can provide me some insights on their exoeriences on these sites and speedtest on GZ,SZ or other china servers..

Can myrepublic access those china website without any problem and download using Qvod? My existing Singtel fibre bb has no problem so far, would not wish to encounter this problem when I switch to myrepublic.

If you're looking for cheaper, you're in the wrong place. MR is more expensive ($ / mbps). M1 is the one you want.

If you are facing homevoice issue, kindly attempt to off and on ONT, adapter and router. If the above solution doesn't fix the issue, let me know how many green light is visible on the adapter and if needed we can send someone down for replacement.

Anyway, did anyone got a reply about the snail-pace connection to China website ? My buddies in HK & Malaysia had no issues connecting to the same sites at about the same hours.

Was unable to access any china website 2 weekends ago. But I was happily watching streaming movie this past weekend with very little interruptions.

Got an email reply from MR staff saying issue can be resolved by doing the power cycle you suggested.
I have been doing the above power cycle but issue comes back. All the lights can be green even though no calling tone.

My customer ID should be C1002866 (typo in earlier post).

Problem with voice service

Anyone having problems with the Home Voice service?

Every few days, I will not be able to call back to my line.
It will be a very short connecting tone, probably about half a second to a second, and then it becomes an engaged tone.

From home, I will not be able to dial out, no ring tone.

All the 4 lights on the Grandstream is on.

I am also aware that powering it down, wait for 2 seconds, and then plugging it back will solve the problem.

However, this is happening too often... every few days, I will get this problem. For example, this is the 3rd time this week.

Mum at home not able to receive calls, she will not be able to call out.
And I am not expecting a 70+ year old lady to know what to do, when it happens.



Another problem is calling in from overseas.
I have tried calling in but it never is able to connect.
Tried from Sri Lanka (Etisalat), Malaysia (Celcom), Canada (not too sure). All unable to connect to my number. All above at mobile lines, and using conventional lines, not data.

As I also have Pfingo service, I tried calling as well, and the same as above.

My wife, who works in an MNC, uses VoIP service in office (from which provider I have no idea)
She is also unable to call home, but calling any mobile or 6xxx number is ok.

can someone look into the above 2 problems?
