Nope. I scared later no Internet connection then have to RMA the router again.

Then configure a spare router first & confirm it worked (just in case need to RMA) before you reset ...

I will update the router firmware with Version 3.0.0.4.374.168 when I am not using my wireless devices.

Hi all

Am looking to sign for this by MR.

Currently I have this Huawei HG256s from my previous contact with Starhub, can I use this with MR's 1GB package? I know the speed won't hit the 1GB, but I don't need it as only using for normal home use. Or die die need to have at least the Asus basic router for decent performance?

There 3 router to choose from
N56U/AC56U/AC68U

All 3 can support 1gbps for their WAN to LAN.
How to determine which router to go for, depend on what your wireless devices priority and allocation like.

Misleading..... should say wired then can support up to 1Gbps...Wireless will not be able to support up to that speed.

Here in forum, we prefer to talk about the practical speed we can achieve with our equipments.

If you want, I guess MR sales can just tell you based on advertised speed of upto 1300mbps for AC1900 wireless router, 1Gbps should be not a problem. If there is an issue of not hitting that speed, it is the user environment that had slowed down the product as he/she does not have a Radio free environment that causes the product not to be able to reach this claim speed. User should take this up with the Router manufacturer.

I would say this depends on area? Like some peoples is enjoying the speed while some is complaining. Like me, my download speed is so inconsistent at night (day time not home, do not know if that happens too). 45mins ago the speed is less then 8Mbps... the free router given, suddenly no internet connection in the morning with wifi or wired... have to reset...

I could said, even all the settings and configurations is done properly, perhaps you will need to have some luck as well..

Wireless will always be slower as compared to wired. It is technically impossible for wireless to achieve same speed as wired.

Which is true for wireless charging as well.

Wireless charging will be slower by 20%.

Ya and not mentioning with the increasing number of routers around ur hdb will affect ur connection too.

last time my connection very stable.. but it's getting worst n worst coz everybody is packed squeezing on same channels and the numbers are always increasing.

Slow connection to china sites

I'm pretty sure this is an issue and probably not a new one. While connection to anywhere else is fast, china is really random sometimes taking forever to load and sometimes it's ok but most of the time it's just slow.
