Not being able to watch twitch has nothing to do with being on a fast and cheap plan. Cheap and fast = cannot complain?

I don't watch twitch, but this issue has been around for a long time as others have noted.

Not say cannot. Just typical Singaporean lor. Cheap and fast still can complain.

It's like you are on a cab, and the road ahead is jam. Then should the taxi driver solve the issue for you?

I am not siding with MR but by referring to "Twitch's side" they may also referring to whatever third party vendor on the route from your house to Twitch, which is, ultimately, out of their control.

MR obviously does not own the direct line all the way from your house to Twitch's servers.

Since myself and many other customers are watching Twitch just fine, I believe if this is within their control they would have already solved it long time ago.

What he said.

No ISP is perfect. I don't twitch so even if its working properly or totally not working, it doesn't affect my consideration when selecting an ISP.

To be fair, if you don't watch twitch, how do you know its not working for you and yet you demand that it has to be fixed? Its like hearing about your friends friend friend hdb flat suffering from garbage smell in the living room and you come to a quick conclusion that town council never clear the rubbish.

Twitch inconsistent performance itself is already quite an infamous topic locally and it depends a lot on what your viewing and who is streaming to you. While you can demand ISP to fix this but do note that when it comes to services/network not own by the ISP, its always a best effort resolution. Bring it to iDA or CASE, the result will be the same, ISP is not at fault.

just checked my bills
for those of us who upgraded to 1Gbps (as an existing subscriber), are we supposed to be charged for the $58 installation fee too?

Supposed to be charge $58 + cost of router ($69 in my case) but not sure why they are not charging it in the 4 bills that I've received so far. Spoke to live chat (actually is via email, but ticket raised from live chat) and he mentioned that billing will include in my latest bull for July but, July bill arrived and still not charged.

Soeeds have gone down lately. Getting less than 550mbps downloads lately. Pings for Telin and Singtel servers have gone up to more than 60! Wondering whether using more of the lan points in the router will decrease speeds.

550mbps download from what source? if you're saying Telin or ST Speedtest servers... those are not very good to test with.. try VQ server or MR's own site. the others... don't really support the speed, etc.. :o

anyway it is pointless to monitor speedtest.net results every other day. it's not real world performance like what many mentioned.

Is it advisable to change to the ac68u router? I'm currently using ac66u

imo, no.. i think ac66u is quite good already

I didn't see that option in May...
