It's not even 3G speed. It is even slower than that.

Yup can do that but port in and out seems to be on a hassle though.

Haha, I think you expected too much anyway for 8 bucks this is the least expected. Even for zero1 is up to 1mbps. Which I think should be are 3G/H+?

Anyway their higher plan wise so far I dunno how is the experience. But should be expected maybe at least 1mbps as well.

vs
$8 mr 1gb + 6x500mb boosts @$3.50 (total 4gb for $29)

difference is you can choose to boost during the times you really need the fast speed. or if you can time it even better, you can boost 2x3gb @ $12 (total 7gb for $32)

pretty clear which is the winner

Also depends on individual needs too. Myrepublic is good for those who pou dingwa zouk and sms alot and don't mind the speed. I think most people sign this for their parents.

Roaming for MR is not bad too.

my above example the boosts you buy all 4g speed. you can choose when you need the fast speed and buy the one time boost to cover it, normal web surfing can use slow speed no problem

Just checked with MR. The UNO plan is actually still available. Sometime back someone say it's till 9 July.

Still checking with them if I am able to sign up a new line first then port in my M1 line in Jan 2019. This is just to get the limited UNO plan.

btw, according to the cso on the phone, they haven't closed the uno plan yet because "there are still unused promo codes". how you want to interpret that is up to you

I saw other MVNO like Zero1 and circles life allows that; to port-in later. Actually, it's good for them though, they get to grab hold of the customer first as they will port-in coming months.

However, the risks are it's non-contract. Should new MVNO comes in with better deal, they will loose out before even acquiring you as their customer. Hence, they might not want to risk losing a customer before porting.

It is a combination of both Porting and Number Change request as it have to be done at the same time.

When the existing M1 mobile contract expired, just go to the Telco (MyRrepublic) and do the porting & number change request together.

For existing mobile contract termination it is based on the number of months balance as not the full termination cost.

Huh? I don't understand. What I see from circles life and Zero1, you can sign up with a 'temporary number first and port in later.

Let's say you are on M1 19th month contract, you sign up a new line with circles life and port in later on the 25th month. There is no number change on circles life ah. Why is there a need for number change at m1 side? Cos I need to complete the contract (24 mths) first.

For MyRepublic on services available > Mobile Service One-Time Charge
The Number Change Request stated.

Change of mobile number do allow for porting of another Telco mobile number.
It is Porting + Number Change request done at the same time.
This is NOT to be done separately.

Since porting is to retain number it is also can transfer to another mobile number as in Change Number on existing mobile line.
As porting do not necessary mean to port to another Telco as new subscriber.
What if i do not like the existing pool of number, which is very restricted.

Hence this is by porting another mobile number (from another Telco) to your existing mobile number while contract/plan remain in force, no change.
In short, Change Number from other Telco mobile number instead from the pool available.
All Telco have this option as implemented by IMDA on Porting matter.

Do note it has to be different Telco, not within the same Telco.
If you have 2 mobile lines with the same Telco, the mobile numbers cannot be swap around.

Do note that both Telco mobile lines must be of the SAME Subscriber, else required to Change of ownership.

I am doing this Porting + Change Number for mobile for several times as there is no issue as to by paying for Change of Number fees $32.10 applicable.

Yes you cannot just port in after everything is done.
That is port-in is for new subscriber.
This is Port-In only.

But it is both Port-in + Number Change request which have to be done on the SAME request.

CS instruction is clear as to answer your question on port-in.
But you did not mentioned you want to do both on Porting to Number Change request TOGETHER.

CS answer is to specific question or query... that is their job straight to point.
This is to avoid mis-understanding.
CS have their own answers sheets as to FAQs by customers.

Most are not aware on this can be done.

Thanks. So you mean, I can let's say sign up a new line with a random number first, use it temporary. When the other Telco contract is up, I request number change+porting from Myrepublic?
