We can't help much. What best is you contact MR to check with the respective telco.

If you have great credit rating, you still can't rule out someone using your ic to sign up for a line and place ur address at someone else address. Its still better to find out the root cause of it.

good point. all the years had only been with SingTel. had mobile plans and home fibre broadband, clear bills monthly, no debts no bad records no outstanding or whatsoever.

besides, before a customer gets blacklisted, surely telco will notify in advance to resolve issues.

You apply to use a paid service. MR can refuse to allow you on board even if you have money. Now MR said they can do business with you, provided you put up a deposit.

Ultimately, if you are good with payment along the way, you can write in to ask to review the need for deposit

wrote in, will see what they say about this.

anyone can also advise if there are any other channels to find out?
or anyone else faces the same issue?

MyRepublic asked for deposit when registering for their plan? and they only refund after terminating the line? If we don't terminate, they dont return?

The rest encounter this too?

i also encountered the same just now when i was signing up with their $10/mo plan. i tried calling hotline, was directed to a 'live chat' support. Live chat customer support not helpful. Only provide canned script answer. he says "All customers will be required to go through a verification credit check as part of the process. The credit check will indicate the eligibility for sign up, and the amount of deposit required, if any, depending on the outcome of our verification measures. This deposit will be refunded to you after you terminate your service with us and refund will take around 4 to 6 weeks to process."

same with you, i don't have any outstanding bills with singtel and starhub. wanted to get this plan for my kids. unfortunately, bad CSR and the deposit is a deal breaker.

Just received an email from MyRepublic on Scheduled Maintenance.

12 Apr 2am-6am. Software Upgrade,3G services will be impacted and 4G in north area.

Hopefully, this maintenance port us from Starhub network to M1. :s12:

New subscribers from 31 March will be on M1 network. Prior to that all on starhub.

They are still looking for workaround to migrate existing users from SH to M1.

Your area SH better?

Yeah, last time uno don't have. Yesterday, I tried signing up test test, they did not ask for deposit eh for $10 lite plan

You might have good credit rating.
What I know is 3 traffic light telco do screen all user right before they assign you a sim card. MVNO like redOne do screen too, and now MR started it.

It's getting harder to OWN telco money. :s22:
