Well giga did get to earn $10 from it, SIM card cost probably negligible. 😂

$12 actually including delivery. Since almost all MVNOs provide free Sim, free delivery.

Surprise, MR lite has free good numbers ending 88.:s13:

Actually with just 88 ending is not sufficient. Giga! has 8889 xx88.

Interesting to know how u jumped around within a few days.

No contract. Can port out anytime.

Technically today u sign up a new line with one telco B by porting in your number from telco A, next day can port out to another telco C. Technically you just need one working day for each switch.

Have been with M1 since 1997. Contract ended 060620. On 070620, went down to AMK Hub, to port 2 lines. It was done in 15 mins.

SMS came from M1 at midnight, indicated porting request was successful.

As a low usage user, MR has provided a great service, by introduction of a low cost plan, and it suited my needs to reduce cost. Bravo.

Woah nice. Probably they released new numbers. Shall go CSI now.

I have completed porting UNO to Lite plan and this is the timeline of events.

7-May-2020: Signed up for Giga ($10) plan to port UNO number
8-May-2020: Received Giga SIM and the porting is complete.
12-May - 2020- Signed up for MyRepublic Lite plan to port the same number
6-Jun-2020- Received Lite SIM and the porting is complete.

This is a round about process, but nonetheless worked out for me as I have timed it correctly.
wow, you did it and managed to timed it perfectly. I ported out of MyRepublic UNO plan last week to Grid. Probably, trying it out for a few months. So far so good as their referral points can save me some money on the third month.

Perhaps, future will port back in.

Same was with M1 since their beginning from WCDMA days to GSM and 3GSM. That low cost $10 plan is indeed good. Probably will port over when my contract ends in 5 more mths.

Just signed the third line today with port in of my Singtel number that is used by cousin.

Something very irritating about the MyRepublic app is that first time login we will be asked to change password, but even I had keyed in a valid password, it still prompted the following error. Damn stoopig. Seems to be a bug on the app because I can change the password on the website no issue.

Existing two will be terminated before end of billing cycles for them each this month.

Then will sign one more line by end of this month to port the giga! number over.

Yes, MyRepublic app quite buggy. Everytime got signed out too. During MyRepublic-Starhub days, the app takes very long to start-up, it has now been resolved.

To be fair, after logged in, no issue with the app so far.

Just for first time login this bug, I am quite surprised that they are not even aware of this bug that everyone will encounter during the first time login to their app. Maybe no one reports it?

Very bad to use Giga as a temporary bridge to migrate over and abandon Giga due to Myrepublic incompetence.

Ok lah. For these round trip of paper work, Giga make $10. with any use of their network bandwidth.

soft copy form. this is for delayed port-in of existing users.
when sign up a new line, just dun indicate port-in needed and submit a delayed port-in request.

after fill in the form, just email to them with supporting documents. in the next working day, it will be processed and at the day of process 11am, old line will be cut, porting over to myrepublic will happen at 12am exact.

Thanks bro hereiam. I can port over my number, then once I no longer using this much, I can port my other number into the MR lite line right? Even if it's after 30 jun

yes, correct.

that's one one can sign a MR lite plan by 30 June to keep the $10 promo plan.
Then only later then port over any number to the MR lite.

MR is one of the MVNO that support this 'delayed' port in. The other one i know of is CMLink.

Maybe I'm economical but since already paid for the line so might as well use up the data and all, then port over before this month bill comes in. Then port over my nice giga number down the road when I want to ah

yup. since already paid. just use until the end of billing cycle.

now other than my main number on circles life now. 20GB.

I will likely to maintain extra two more lines (with GiGa numbers port over)
either
1) 2 x MR lite lines
2) 1 x MR lite line + 1 x CMLink line
