Wah like that I better get a new line for testing. When really good then port my line as esim.

Just to add on.

I was on m1 5G and a lot area don’t have 5G network (when compare to gomo)

Since both telco (m1/StarHub) sharing the standalone 5g network. I believe results might be same.

My device which is supported on gomo don’t work on m1. Totally can’t connect to the 5G.

Hmmm but I just did a speed test when my connection is showing 4G and speedtest.net says it’s using StarHub eh.
Spoke to myrepublic staff thru the online chat, they mentioned that the new 5g plan is using starhub network for both 5G & 4G connections. I just upgraded my plan and can confirm this as well.
However, the current 4G only plans is still using m1 network.

Second this, additionally was told that e-sim to physical conversion works, but not physical to e-sim as of current system limitation. Maximum of 2 setup/downloads for entire period of the plan w MR. Fee of $3.24 from 3rd setup/download of e-sim onwards.

For those using iP12 series, e-sim supported but 5G connection will not work as clarified by the CS on the call.
Any testers that wants to try can still proceed and request to change to physical sim if really can't work for 5G e-sim on iP12 series. Usually there's a charge of $32.XX++ (Old figure, there's a new figure after recent increase of GST) but if due to compatiblity issue, waiver can be requested.

Roaming of 1GB after 6 months will drop, and then can be added on as boosters instead.

Overall probably the most ideal plan for those going for esim and good mobile coverage.

been waiting for my porting to complete since 10PM last night but I’m still on my temporary number. Anyone knows if this is normal?

Hang on, you converted with or without a sim card change? The old sim card cannot connect to 5G SA network so you're losing out if you did not switch sim.

Either porting failed or porting has not happened yet. Porting should be completed by very early morning.

The pricing on their plans is... interesting...

You have a choice of
100GB at 5G (on Starhub) at $19.95/month
OR
100GB at 4G (on M1) (80GB from month 7 onwards) at $20.90/month

Why would anyone take the second plan???

Anyway, hopefully this will be the trigger for the 5G price war as the MVNOs race each other to the bottom!

Which plan are u guys choosing?
1. 5G Standard ($14.95 for first 3 mths, subsequent $17.95)
- 80gb

2. 5G Plus ($19.95)
-100gb

ALthough i alr make my decision, i still dk if i make the correct one as sometimes i use a lot and sometimes use less.

Those on iOS, do you guys have to toggle the 5G Standalone in the settings to get 5G. If I don’t switch on the toggle, it won’t connect to 5G and stay on 4G

I just tried on my phone. Have to select the "5G Standalone".
Guess this is a iPhone setting to detect 5G
