Video with before and after overlay satellite images of the valley from gyirong port to the glacier. Showing how much of the valley sides was removed and the impact craters.

See on google maps there was at least hundreds of boulders 10-30 meter across along the riverbed between gyirong port and the glacier. Aftermath satellite image the boulders all gone. Any of the boulders impact are enough to erase buildings in path of the debris flow.

Generations of Nepalis already knew the river bed is death valley. The more recent ones forgot why villages were originally built higher up the slope.

There are only 7 mountain passes between china and nepal? Used by travellers since ancient times. Build road higher up the valley needs to have very long and strong bridges to cross the rivers. Ancient times only had rope bridges so had to build beside the river. Watched travel videos there are steel cables bridges in use now to cross valley.

Modern suspension high-level bridge is the answer. Japanese have already perfected earthquake resistant suspension bridges. It is flexible enough to allow movements between the two ends. The abutments and anchors (two ends of the bridge) just need to be situated in fault-free rock.

1988First long-span suspension bridge designed with a site-specific large earthquake and 3-D dynamic analysis: Akashi Kaikyo. Design earthquake was about M8.5. Construction started that year.
1995Proof. The M7.2 Kobe earthquake hit while Akashi’s towers and cables were up. A new fault offset the foundations and lengthened the main span by about 1 m. The unfinished bridge did not fail.
1998Akashi opens. That is the first completed example of a modern earthquake-resistant long-span suspension bridge.

Nobody should live next to the riverbed anymore, in the floodway region.

Nepal should start building suspension bridges.
The question is: funded by who?

But it's better than trying to throw money into a blackhole of rebuilding the villages in the floodway region, knowing it may get washed away again anytime in the future.

Number of missing in deadly Nepal, China floods jumps past 2,400

The most accurate is to see the date of the original prediction and if that date can be independently verified, and the prediction is precise and not vague

if we didn’t before the disaster hear the prediction, I will always have my doubt and hold it till actually proven
Here's the YouTube video posted on 5th Aug 2026.

Unless you know Thai language, or if you even trust YouTube's Thai to English translation in CC or change the Audio Track from Thai to English, or you can use your own AI translator to translate.

Of course you can reply "Not clicking" again but by saying "Not clicking", it can means you are ignoring finding out the truth about this video.

Some people may only see some flash of incident that will happen in the future but may not exactly pinpoint the exact location.

Why is China's team there? I thought Nepal stated they didn't need foreign assistance.

I feel it's more science cos climate change, that big ice melt. What's frightening is there's a lot more ice there that can melt. That place better close down

Maybe no dam better?

Man-made dams are engineered to be stable. Unlike the literally thousands of water bodies high up in the tibetan plateau and mountain regions accumulated naturally and can give way under the right conditions. Can easily be seen by zooming in on Google Earth. These can be real threats and there's nothing you can do against it. It's like asking how do you stop an earthquake or a volcanic eruption?
