IMHO.can you share how gomo is actually better? I can't seem to find any advantage for them over other singtel mvnos... customer support?
thanks @keenklee for your objective comparison. yeah I was digging out more threads and discovered about the key difference being that Gomo is Singtel-owned while the others are not. So there's some priority given to Gomo users in terms of bandwidth or latency.IMHO.
Alone
Heya.SG - 114 / 22
GOMO - 226 / 83
Together
Heya.SG and GOMO, speedtest activated at the same time
Heya.SG - 80 / 22
GOMO - 103 / 76
P.S. In the download, the scenario was something like Heya.SG was leading until midway, GOMO caught up but was a tiny tad slower. The reason why GOMO has a higher score of 103 was Heya.SG ended the download test first and then GOMO speed to 103.
Which is better ?![]()

my mobile line is Gomo while my home broadband is using heya (hotspotting). as I'm a light user... no streaming... no online gaming... I probably can't tell the difference between the two.
which is why I'm thinking of dumping Gomo since it doesn't come with roaming calls (if need to receive call when overseas from banks verifying fraudulent transactions, for example, or from other important places/people).
wish Gomo can address that and add roaming calls but I doubt one person's feedback will make a difference.

not sure whether it's considered 'generous' or is it just a feature which they can turn on/off.Dont think Singtel is so generous to provide receiving roaming calls when in overseas. If I not wrong, only Simba can call / receive overseas call (using the Simba voice call app).
The fact that Heya can receive OTP sms when in overseas is already a bonus.
In that case, have to subscribe to the Big 3's mobile line to receive roaming calls when in overseas (albeit with add. charges), dont think the mvnos or sub-brands have the feature (they already mark down their prices).not sure whether it's considered 'generous' or is it just a feature which they can turn on/off.
i'm not asking for free incoming roam calls, but the basic ability to receive calls when overseas should be accorded to any mobile plans?
imagine there's an emergency back home (Singapore) but the family members can't contact you when you're overseas because you're on Gomo.. which does not allow incoming roaming calls. they have to resort to messaging on SMS or whatsapp/telegram or do data calls (if you have data).
or like me, kena a couple of times when delivery services (from online purchases) want to call you but you couldn't accept the call and they also dunno why (no idea you're overseas).
all mvnos should be able to receive OTP sms when overseas - don't think it's a bonus. it is a necessity feature - no?
afaik.. all mvnos can receive OTP when overseas..In that case, have to subscribe to the Big 3's mobile line to receive roaming calls when in overseas (albeit with add. charges), dont think the mvnos or sub-brands have the feature (they already mark down their prices).
Not sure about other mvnos able to receive OTP sms. Maybe you want to ask in the "Comparison of SIM only plans - Part 2" thread?
(and if I'm not wrong heya doesn't as well)Dont think Singtel is so generous to provide receiving roaming calls when in overseas. If I not wrong, only Simba can call / receive overseas call (using the Simba voice call app).

How does the Telco know if it's OTP or non-OTP sms ? Or they the same ?
Hi I signed up for Heya yesterday 6 Jan (sat) around 430pm. Mine is a porting case as I'm previously using redone. I haven't write in to redone. No idea if I need to. But I remember when I port from vivifi to redone, i only go to redone sign up. And then that's it. Don't have to inform vivifi. Fast forward, Until today 7 Jan still not active. May I check roughly how many days is required for the port over?
Not much issue with Heya underground. But sometimes it can get stunk when u r in crowded places (eg: sunday on orchard road where all the maids are doing tiktok videos)How is Heya in underground MRT ?
My Giga is terrible. Thinking of switching.
IMHO.considering simba, zym and heya
heya seems to be standing out due to its better network
con, we have to keep topping up every 30days?
simba, network reviews are bad
zym has 2gb msia roam, but its only for 12mths
heya has 1gb roam perpetually? might just jump the gun to try it![]()
