I suspect this time they are considering Malaysia style LRT lines already, that are lower capacity, yet same 80km/h operating speed as our MRT lines, and also got go underground one (Kelana Jaya Line).

Reason: Tengah Line actually quite close to existing MRT lines. Seletar Line also. Most probably no need so many redundant capacity.

At least this is much better than JRL.

A proper line which bring passengers out to other parts of the country.

Two potential new rail lines, tentatively called the Tengah Line and Seletar Line, are being studied for its feasibility as part of the Government’s rail expansion. Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat laid out these plans during the debate on his ministry’s budget on March 5.

The Tengah Line could serve areas in Singapore’s west and north-west, such as Tengah, Bukit Batok, Queensway and Bukit Merah, while the Seletar Line will run from Woodlands to the future Greater Southern Waterfront, and serve areas such as Sembawang, Sengkang West, Serangoon North, Whampoa and Kallang.

Just thought of the Changi airport shuttle line from Tanah Merah, that will be switched to Thomson East Coast Line. Forget when. Think they left it out in the so so graphics. Mindef one more readable though. Just saying.

Thinking the Signalling can be re-used by building a shuttle line between Siglap station and Bedok Central.

Just need to build civil works which you can add on as a variation order to the Jurong Regional Line.

Thought the EW and Thomson East Coast lines are not connected and it's good business to bring traffic to Marine Parade Central plus the Community hub enterprises with this shuttle.
