heard from my friend the bak kut teh in sembawang is nice. beside ssc, the small alley in. but dunno the exact place.

Just tried hotel royal's bKt. The soup is nice. No msg, the trotter is very sinful, will post picture tonight.

Very sinful, first time eat pork trotter. Dun feel like eating it, just tell myself, pay money must finish it.

Is $5 consider cheap for pork trotter?

Actually it's not sinful at all but healthy - as long as you don't eat too much of the sauce (too much sugar) haha

A lot of collagen and good fats to raise your HDL cholesterol level

S$5 is average bah - depends on portion as well

u said it all..pig trotter is very nutritious for its collagen properties..collagen intake needs to be replenish daily

pig trotter is NOT fat... is full of collagen for bouncy younger looking skin, especially for "old" girl.

Most places sell from $4 onwards and come with half only sometimes

Feel the soft skin and gelatin melt in your mouth - now that's a pleasure worth savoring haha

the one @ ion is the branch of the founder bkt @ balestier, and the one opposite central mall, song fa, is the branch of the bkt @ rochor center coffeeshop facing fu lu shou complex. it used to be at the location currently occupied by raffles hospital and the green grass patch next to the bugis mrt underpass.

I know got the Ng Ah Sio (NAS) BKT thread but I prefer to post here as the general thread for all sort of BKT in singapore.

Been to NAS BKT at rangoon road on 04 June 2011, rainy day but peppery hot soup do jus nice but overall ain't as great as I expected. AS read from NAS thread, the name NAS was taken over by jumbo and they open a branch in MBS btw.

The pricing is on the high side and same as Outram BKT. Peppery is abit too much that bitterness of it is causing the soup everything!!!

Overall, I rather try the balestier or other BKT. This NAS will remain good for tourist as an attraction thou. Nothing much to shout about.

08 June off and so gone to try this upper bt timah BKT opps Mindef before Shell station in the morning.

Parking was a hazard there, very difficult to find lot.

This BKT is unique - its operate also as a rice/porridge store. So it also sells steam fish (depend on day catch), fish cake, salted egg or fry fish, fry egg etc etc.

IMHO - The taste is much better then Outram and NAS, lesser peppery taste, more of the porky smell and savoury mix. Pricing is almost similar but serve in claypot. Service is abit lack, not much many staffs unlike NAS but overall acceptable service.
