I've let the Nintendo Switch account to remain as "US resident" & so I have access to the US eshop, I believe.

On the console, I've set the time zone to "Kuala Lumpur" to sync with Singapore's. The Pokemon Shield game seems to correspond to the console's system settings timing.

Yes, usually all is the system timing as you’ve already set time zone to KL, which I also did. So far I’ve no issues with any time zone thingy with any of my game play, so I intend to keep it that way.

if u wanna game, at least buy the game yrself or share with yr fren if any. if u wanna save money, get second hand physical, once u complete it u can sell off and get back some money

Thanks for the advice. I am not a frequent gamer and saw some post on slots available for a family account. Tot I could work out something just to try out the games first before buying.

ah okay. those family account is purely for online gaming/co-op only. i think it's gonna be super hard for u to find someone who's able to share account with u cause switch can be play on the go anytime, so it's kind of hard to work out stuff. there are ppl renting game in carousell, so u can maybe try that method

Those family account cannot share games lah. Only got some free old NES games.

There are "mod" switch if you know where to look....

I was reading that we need a SD card with the console..minimal 64gb. Any particular brand or capacity to recommend?

then let's say i join the trial membership, can i still play these games when the trial is over? ( assuming i never renew monthly membership)

am i correct to ay in order to play these games, i must stay as a member?

yes u need the membership to play the nes and snes games. u can find those family package and join for 6-8 dollars per year

get a 128gb to be safe, it's cheap now also. standard any brand will do, like sandisk, samsung and etc. just don't buy the official one with nintendo on it cause it's exactly the same as other SD card but more expensive only. just look nice only

Get the 400gb version. See if there are sales during Black Friday. Can get under 90 bucks.

even physical also need SD card as the internal memory inside switch is not enough. my games are all physical.

some switch games are only available in digital
