Just bought switch from amazon sg @499. Is it possible/easy for us to buy games digitally?

Also, do I have to pay the $20/year subscription to play with friends online?

No need pay $20. You can share a family subscription for below $10.

You can look on carousell for people sharing subscriptions.

I see.. thanks.

Regarding buying games from the eshop, is it cheaper? I’m contemplating between buying from eshop and buying 2nd hand game online or from shop

Is Qoo10 the cheapest place to get the Lite at $269 (Korean seller)? I've never used Qoo10 in recent years. Any coupons or deals (credit card) that I can make use of to get a lower price? :o

I'm still not too decided between the Gen 2 and Lite. I don't have a (Smart) TV or monitor at home. Also leaning towards the Lite as there will be lesser issues with the Joy-Con? My cousin and friends are telling me to get the Gen 2 as playing is more enjoyable on a bigger screen (TV/monitor) :s22:

I can afford to wait. I don't exactly need a gaming console :s22: more of wanting to find something to do to kill time :s22::s13::o

Anyone gotten the kit for dock charging without using the original dock?

Need to transfer PCB from original dock to 3rd party, seems quite easy, since it’s using original transfer over so no bricking.

Reason being I got this casing which provides more protection + damn nice to hold but it doesn’t fit the original dock. And usually find the switch gets quite warm + scratches my screen protector.

Eshop is not cheaper in most cases, unless there are sales. You can get cheap games via shopee or Qoo10 korean set using coupons. There's no region restriction so feel free to buy which ever is the cheapest.

For eshop I'd recommend buying the eshop credits off shopee with coupons.
Some games are much cheaper on the eshop during sales like Overcooked or Mario x rabbids.
Others like fire emblem, physical copy is defo cheaper.
