Then why need ACP ?

I know LPA need a lawyer to make a will but if something happened to you n you cannot make a decision like a coma, then ACP where you have assigned the person to do on your behalf can decide for you.

Anyone can cfm ?
Lpa is lpa
Will is will
Both are different

Lpa - the one can make decisions. Not allocation. No need lawyer. U only need Dr to certify

Will - is the allocation of your asset

It's strange edmwers talk as if they have no friends, no colleagues, no siblings and no feelings for parents, no wife and no children one?
If they're truly deserving, they should been shown the appreciation while they're still alive.

Dead people are just that. Dead.

They're not going to see your display of symbolic gestures, no matter how grand.

All these "wayang"... is just a way to bring closure to those who are still alive. (aka 'Cope')

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and Advance Care Planning (ACP) are distinct but complementary tools for future care planning. An LPA grants legal authority to a chosen Donee to make decisions on your behalf regarding your personal welfare and/or property and affairs if you lose mental capacity. An ACP, on the other hand, is a process of documenting your preferences for future healthcare and personal care, helping your loved ones and healthcare providers understand your wishes

Maybe I can add my unwanted opinion here.

Suppose you were to keep your ashes in an urn after cremation, that's really for ornament purposes since its unlikely any descendants will pray to some unknown person or name. At some point, someone is going to dispose them.

Even my own children don't remember my late grandparents.. Can safely say that my grandchildren (if any) are unlikely to remember my parents..

Might as well scatter somewhere after cremation.

Our parents all want at least five days.
Those days before the 2000s, 5 or 7 days is common. Even heard before 1 month for some rich distant relative.
Nowadays more are doing 3 days. Even 5 yrs ago, 3-day package was 5-6k excluding those creamation and niche related cost. Next tier is 8-9k.
its even strange that edmwers gave such answers....
It is game over ard. :(
Probably some are less sentimental than others.

That's why what's the point especially if it's your grand grand parents, don't tell me need your descendants to continue praying until when 😇

one thing to take note, if no funeral, then cannot accept any condolence money.
