The government has made it clear that they won't allow property prices to escalate too fast.

In fact, no government in the world would like to see their prime land prices to go up too fast.

So for those who are buying a property as an investment, better think carefully.

For own stay, then purchasing one shouldn't be a big concern. Just get 1 that fits your budget.

I wanted to buy a resale HDB after selling my landed but hubby refuses to buy anything that is leasehold. I am getting depressed as I thought I was financially free already if he just agreed with my plan but he refuses to stay in Malaysia.

Now I joke with him that we can all go sell MacDonald's if we lose our jobs...

But with poor job security in Sg, big debts at my age is not wise. I would rather be debt free and have a roof to stay over my head.

I think property outlook is uncertain. Better for the prices to be stable...

Maybe buying properties in developing countries or REITs are better...

I need to learn from u guys how to value invest in ETFs and REITS.

Hope I get my ABSD refund...hubby was upset when I refused to decouple. Maybe I should have agreed. But didn't want a big loan on my own. Was told that I should be able to.

And why no property cooling measures for commercial properties? :s8:
Like that how to cool property prices? :s13:

Still got people buying? I see my Mcpherson Mall, I scared...so many empty unrentable commercial lots. Like in Kensingtonsquare also. Owner bleed like siao.

Well, Singapore’s birth rate is world class low. It all fits together, doesn’t it? :s22:

Very true...which woman would want to be a mother when their children has to suffer so much stress in Sg and only to commit suicide over stupid ridiculous standards in schools for their level....

And all for what, in the end also lose jobs to foreigners.... study for what? Get degree for what?

I sold my investment MM unit already. Oversupply, falling rental yield made me sell.
Overall, MM not worth the money...time and effort...heard quite a few people lost money...I am not sure how to calculate but hubby said we made a little only.

There r pple who made a lot and pple who lose a lot in property also...better for Sgpn not to be property crazy and chain ourselves into big debts ie overleverage.

Hubby says he is devastated that I made him sell our landed but I really don't like living with more and more construction worker tenants because of Bidadari.

Where got cheap? So expensive also say cheap or affordable. :s13:

No one talking abt property recently ? so quiet.

anyways saw this article dated a few month back talking about wow so cheap, rare find , super reasonable, good buy , below 1 million... super roll eyes..

one of the very important lessons growing up is learning to differentiate between paid advertising/marketing and independent reviews.. like some forumers here always say , dont ask your barber if you need a haircut

For HDB flats, HDB own the land that your HDB flats sits on, NOT YOU (not even for a lease of 99 years!), so no worry, HDB can keep HDB flats very cheap! (BUT you will never have enbloc windfall mah!) :s13:

Not all private got enbloc also. Worst is the 99 yrs condo?

Naive believe any mall would attract customers.

All the retail REITs know that .
Heng ah I bought CapitalMallTrust low.

Still got people buying? I see my Mcpherson Mall, I scared...so many empty unrentable commercial lots. Like in Kensingtonsquare also. Owner bleed like siao.

Those who buy this would not be here .

Sooner or later absd etc etc will be part of the cost & the life moves on .....

The ones who believe there will be new launches at 10-20% will be disappointed.
