Note 2 battery life

My batt also drained 20+% while i was sleeping last night.
I checked and it showed that my phone was 'awake' when my screen was off.

How do i check what apps are running in the background and draining the batt?

That's the hard part - a lot of trial and error needed...hahah

Usual suspects include auto-sync of accounts - FB, Twitter etc

Fortunately, you can use System Panel - it does a good job of showing all the apps plus running processes and how much CPU time each of them took up...

You can use that to narrow down the list and then decide if you really need those apps

Some of the "free" apps are notorious for eating up bandwidth by constantly pushing ads to your phone even when the screen is off...

So you may want to consider blockers like Droidwall etc to restrict access...

I posted a guide a while back - it's very helpful and I certainly benefited greatly from it...hahah

why would it?
i used this way on my previous phones no issues.
note 1 for 1 year also no issue.
now note 2, i don't see the problem coming up.

my laptop also like that...
and it's a 2 year laptop.

Strangely it only seemed to happen after i updated the software. I am on LJ3right now. Didnt have this issue when i was on LJ1. Sigh.

My autosync is turned off, so that shouldn't be the case.

Looks like i will have to try system panel and monitor again tonight.

Yup, mine did. Someone mentioned it here before... and also got people mention in XDA... but apart from the buzzing sound, everything else seems fine, so I just make sure I off the power and take the charger off the socket every time I'm done using it...

Why abnormally?

29% over nearly 9 hours = 3.2% per hour and your screen time is over an hour woah...

It's already quite good

Same here but don't think it affects the phone much unless i am moving...

Then the drain is quite bad - suspect it's more to do with the scrappy network than the phone

Jus now I went out den it keep switching between G H H+ my batt drain 12% within 50 mins thats y I feel is abnormal

mine is worse, drain becoz 4g-H+-4g widly becoz Starhub hasn't implemented 4g fully at NUS side yet

12hr day with minimal usage maybe only 20% drop only.

yeah man the signal plays a huge role in the battery life!

In instances such as this, I usually just switch to GSM only

aiya the app does it automatically for me no need to go into settings back and forth.
