I unplugged my Note 2 from charger just before going to sleep and through "application monitor" I cleared all running apps and clear the RAM as well.

After 7+ hrs when I woke up my phone used up 20% battery life and highest consumption was "Phewtick" app. My app monitor still zero app running but when I check through recent apps the one when you press and hold home button Phewtick was there along with the other apps I ran before. I very sure nobody touched my phone during the 7hrs idle time.

So I think application monitor doesn't really close all the running apps. Anyone encountered the same issue?

i didn't have this problem with phewtick. but i had this problem with a digimon app. so i uninstalled it. haha. nonetheless, i have stopped using phewtick alr. waste time scanning for that few cents.

20% is painful... when i sleep my note2 is in deep sleep, after 8 hours only use up 1% of power.

Thanks evermind! And umm by sliding(closing?) the applications on the recent app screen(Hold on home button), will it close the application?

press and hold home button will show "recent" apps... not "running" apps.
so after u use other task manager to kill/close the apps... they will still appear in the "recent" app list.

oic, I'll try to recreate the scenario again but this time close all apps both on app monitor and all recent apps.

Before I didn't notice this problem also but just upgraded firmware last monday, ALJ3 to ALJ5 via Odin bcoz mine is not telco set.

Suggest you use original charger ir full 2amp charger and cable. Most micro usb charger for other phones are rated 1 or even less amp.

Just found my old Nokia charger is only 1amp

Yes this is what I thought also thats why don't understand why an which I closed still eats up battery.
Anyway it seems like a one time thing only, didn't notice it now. I'm currently satisfied with my units battery life. 13 hrs plus still reach home with 28% life with fairly heavy usage. Finally can complete 12hrs shift without charging. My previous iPhone need to charge 3x just to survive 12hrs.

that's why I avoid such suspicious apps like the plague. Especially apps that look like really crappy ports from iPhone

i think starhub users will experience the worst battery drain in not-fully-4g areas. the phone will keep raging between 4g and 3g as u walk along the area. that's what happened to my phone in CBD area today
