under the batt stats, my screen is using up 65%!!! is this normal? what affects how much battery my screen is using up?

if you use your phone a lot, 65% of screen usage is fine..

what is your screen on time?

I am pretty amazed by the N2 battery life thus far :D

where got satki? what for buy the phone then use abit and let it sleep and accumulate battery hours.
unless your screen time is 8 hours, then satki :)

everyday, there will be different battery stats, it's not going to be consistent.
why? because maybe you installed a rogue app today, that drains batt.

hi, i am using this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.WazaBe.android.BatteryDrain) to monitor my battery drain. simple and free useful app..

here are my stats after one day...

normal usage (flipboard, whatsapp, chrome, pocket, facebook): ~10-20%/hr
sleeping overnight: ~2%/hr
average final is: 4.55%/hr

Above stats are collected with LTE on, GPS on, Wifi on but using 3G/LTE, bluetooth off, sync on, display is set to 50% auto.

will monitor further... this app can be used to help roughly esimate/monitor your draining percent before/after you install some app to detect whether they drain the battery.

With LTE on, the batt drain much faster. Turning on wifi last longer than LTE lol

U sure she using note 2 ? Not S3? maybe u can double check by touching if theres a stick around the bottom right at the back? S series are known to have bad rep regarding batt life not note series.

For a start, delete all useless battery saving app like battery defender.

After spending almost 1k to get this phone for her, I think I know the difference between a note 2 and s3...haha
Anyway there are no useless battery saving app other than juice defender ... may I know which is a good app to monitor which apps is causing the drain? Tks

Hmm anyone using the stock Email app with emails set to Push?

I find the stock email almost always consistently within the top few apps causing partial wake locks on my phone.

Im using stock email app. Sometimes loading n downloading of stuffs are slow n sometimes incoming email is a little retarded to come in. But i prefer this over the yahoo mail app which drained battery severely.

There are many other mail app like droidmail or something like that but have to go through many greek setting uncle like me catch no ball.

Just jking, on that day when I bought this phone n was comparing between note 2 n s3 I find them hardly different other than note is a little bigger. Especially if u compared grey note2 n pebble blue s3 in a dimm place its almost alike.

If ur not playing intensive games, u could actually use the built in saving batt function as it uses less resources to operate your phone without the god damn lag like s2 does. As description, normal operations like web surfing n meddling with day to day operations would not be affected n no performances differences felt.

Juice defender is useless app too. Dont let the noobies 5 stars reviews fool u. Veterans satki users dont use saving app.....dont believe? U can pm those satki batt graph posters in this thread...u can skip that particular level 99 satki one as he had given u his golden piece already....hehe

I am using GO-Launcher. The battery saving function has an effect on the 3d transition of each screen. The transition appears to slightly lag as compared with the battery saving function on.

Hi guys, can you take a look at my battery stats for me?

I can only get around 4 hour of screen time from 100% to around 15%, which is kinda fast I feel. I only use it for whatsapp/msging most of the time, can you guys take a look for me? Is it a problem with GoSMS?

For today, my battery drained exceptionally fast. I wanted to post at XDA but I do not have 10 post. Here is the pictures.

Im also getting around 3-5hrs screen time usually. So your 4hrs seem normal to me.. In fact not many smartphones can achieve 4hrs screen time on stock battery?

Seems like for the screenshots, the android calendar thing is causing you lots of partial wakelocks, keeping the phone awake even though screen is off.. Not sure which app could have caused that though?

True, but I've seen some of the people claiming they can get 5-6 on average, but I guess how it's being used, I only use it for messaging normally, was thinking whether GoSMS was the victim?

Either way, I have purchased a 6200mah battery from Amazon :o:s13:
