It's not like a bad phone but the price needs to reflect it's true value. It's just too high right now.Looks like a fail product ..
To be honest with huge discount I also won't buy haha...It's not like a bad phone but the price needs to reflect it's true value. It's just too high right now.
Won't be surprised if those here that eventually buy it come from the Pixel 9 Pro XL (that's even way more pricier like $1,459 for 128GB on Google official SG Store) though......It's not like a bad phone but the price needs to reflect it's true value. It's just too high right now.
I got my pixel 9 Pro XL 256gb from Moby Shop...it went as low as $1030 during 11.11 last year.Won't be surprised if those here that eventually buy it come from the Pixel 9 Pro XL (that's even way more pricier like $1,459 for 128GB on Google official SG Store) though......
I'll rather try vivo X200 tbhTo be honest with huge discount I also won't buy haha...
nothing has turned me off since 3A alreadySadly to some who are busy coping with daily RL pressures (like cost of living), Mobile Shops for these are fast becoming disguised TOTO for mobile phones. Always ended up buying phones overpriced instead due to horrible timing to buy, especially budget ones <S$200, needless to say flagships costing S$1k+, aka heartland purchase scam, the type even Scamshield have no way to protect against.I got my pixel 9 Pro XL 256gb from Moby Shop...it went as low as $1030 during 11.11 last year.
Hilariously Reddit (r/Nothing) seems to think otherwise, especially buyers from markets that give Nothing Headphones (1) free with purchase of Phone (3) actually, unlike here where they give only Nothing Ear (a) instead.Looks like a fail product ..
Mostly angmohs who don't have access to other brands other than Samsung and Apple I guess..Hilariously Reddit (r/Nothing) seems to think otherwise, especially buyers from markets that give Nothing Headphones (1) free with purchase of Phone (3) actually, unlike here where they give only Nothing Ear (a) instead.
Perhaps these are the REAL target market for that device, and Nothing is doing a better-than-expected job in reaching these buyers.
Even more like pro-privacy westerners who HATED being unneccesarily spied on by BOTH eastern & western "big brothers" kind of customers. Even Nothing Community page have a user tutorial on how to "de-Google" your Nothing Device as a GrapheneOS alternative (since that currently is paywalled to Pixel Devices right now).Mostly angmohs who don't have access to other brands other than Samsung and Apple I guess..
If they don’t drop the $, hard to justify buying. not worth for that kind of specs leh$ nee drop too over prise

Not surprised at that, because that's exactly what Nothing is trying to tell us with their products, like making their OS skin first then making the hardware to harness the software functions, reminiscent of OnePlus pre-Oppo days and Samsung pre-S7 period.I reckon you're paying more for the design and software than for the actual hardware.
Speaking of Chinese Phone, apparently dunno if it's more of Chinese phone copying Nothing's marketing strategy for Phone (3), the Vivo X Fold 5 is trying its best to outfail that, S$2,499 including Zeiss and Distro Taxes for its foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and AI Functions everywhere that is difficult to switch off or limit its use.Not surprised at that, because that's exactly what Nothing is trying to tell us with their products, like making their OS skin first then making the hardware to harness the software functions, reminiscent of OnePlus pre-Oppo days and Samsung pre-S7 period.
Heck, even Samsung now officially going the Chinese Phone route for their next flagships: Designing their OS Software around their phone hardware, with the Galaxy Z Series getting the best features and Galaxy S getting refined updates, and finally the rest (Galaxy A, M and J Series) getting updated bread crumbs.
