Nothing has just announced its first Android 16 beta, with Phone (3) users able to test out Nothing OS 4.0 ahead of its release starting in the next couple of weeks.

Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, was first announced alongside the announcement of Phone (3) earlier this month. Now, we’re getting more details on when it will debut.

In a post on its community forums, Nothing has announced a closed beta program for Android 16 on Phone (3). The update will deliver Nothing OS 4.0 on top of Google’s own update, but it won’t be available to everyone. Rather, Phone (3) owners can sign up via a form to participate, and Nothing will reach out sometime in the first week of August for those selected to test the build.

What can users expect in this update? Nothing says:

In this build, we’re focused on delivering Android 16’s native features as well as implementing a more robust design system which will set the foundation for a more cohesive UI moving forward.

So, for the time being, new features and changes are still on the vague side, but we won’t have long to wait. Nothing says it will accept participants until August 3, with the first builds rolling out “within one week” of that date.

The beta program will run through “early September.”

More likely if you go across the Causeway instead.
I personally saw someone reccing friend to buy Phone (3) at TMT Store (MY equivalent of Challenger) at Mid-Valley Southkey (JB equivalent of Suntec City Mall, the one with SOGO as anchor), said bloke owns CMF Phone 2 Pro in Dark Grey (Black) colour, and unlike SG almost all non-brand exclusive stores in that mall have Nothing Phones on display.

And like SG, Nothing products in MY are selling in similar fashion there minus Freebies sadly, last checked CMF Phone 2 Pro got price cut to RM1,099 and Nothing Phone (3) is RM3,499.

The usual shops are selling around 950. Still not low enough. I've seen 850 bit it's used.
