Just curious - because I cannot talk to my brother in law about this since my SO sensitive if I impose questions on her family

How come you don't feel the urgency to get a house? Is your SO truly comfortable or there has been some arguments on when you will get your own place? Sorry hor but I am genuinely curious; not judging.

I discussed with my SO before on how important it was for her to secure a home and we both agreed it was super high as we felt that both parties (ourselves and our parents) should be able to move, speak and dress freely and not having to restrict ourselves because it's not our home. Of course I know not everyone is the same as us but I wanted to know what kind of agreement couples have on houses.

I have a friend who has been dating for 7 years, recently engaged and planning to get married. Every year apply SBF without fail but die die go for Sengkang and has failed continuously. I asked her why never apply BTO considering her luck, she tell me not urgent also. I was speechless hahaha

I need to add in levy 20k to any unit tht i choose. Our total cpf + grant is 177k. Dunno if there is any 3 room flat that would cost 157k and below in sg lor.

Yesterday went to HDB, they told us if we take bank loan for the new house, any cash portion from the current resale, we will have put back 50% to our CPF. That's provided we take bank loan. So I asked them back. I bought this house at 480K, current market price at 400k, how har? Who will give me the difference?

not really... some ID can get those 3rd party aircon man install and their price is actually cheaper than retail.. but then i dont trust their workmanship and i scare they use low end piping. So end up i got it from Gain City too. at least big company wont run.. lol

I bought mine from Parisilk. They helped us arrange installation too. Bought 4.8k for a Panasonic 3 bedroom + living room, but forgotten the BTU

I lived with my inlaws for almost 4 years i think... Then one day i got kinda fed up so i moved in back with my mum... After a while, i realized i missed her antics... I guess distance does makes the heart grow fonder... Being far from her doesnt mean i want to cast her aside but I find that i respect her more when shes further away from me.. Maybe cos i dont see her flaws and neither does she sees mine anymore...

We don't have a choice cos she is alone. She doesn't want to stay with her daughters (1 in Aust & 2 in Sin) and so is the other way round. I stopped working for a period of time after no.1 then no.2 then no.3 pop out. That's when the time we had head on collision. After being able to come back and work, I feel that our relationship is better. Though at times there's still some disagreement, but it's usually she and my husband. If I have any things that I don't agree with my husband, I will usually tell her and she will deal it with her son directly. I dun have much issue with her only my girls have problems with her.

I already collected last week. My area still quite empty as the lease was only scheduled for mid next year. That's why mine had greater flexibility I feel and I provided some proof for wedding.

My cousin was at Canberra area and she got her flats last year under SBF, but she was told to ROM early as her estate had high occupancy rate already.

How long did they took to approve your request to take key first then provide cert? Did you email to the CRM?

My CRM was incredibly efficient. I contacted the general hotline immediately after selection on 5 July and told them on the wedding issue. My CRM called me a few days later and asked for proof. The next week, I got a text to notify me for key collection in September.

Finally received the later about the grant, log in to hdb and the familiar message is gone..! Hopefully they process the grant asap without asking for more documents..! Now just wait and see how.. Hopefully everything goes well and I can collect the keys before my HLE expired..
