If the kid is not self motivated... Not much... I guess is more for parents conscious... I did everything I can for my kids. How far can tuition push a kid ahead if not academically inclined?
I cannot understand as well.. Like I mentioned, the weightage of subjects for psle system are the same. By ignoring one... Basically you lower the chance of getting good grades.Really don understand why many parents r not speaking Mandarin to kids since born. Don they know that it is a mandatory subject for kid to get into a branded secondary school? In Singapore it is easier to learn english. Take a look at the tiong kids. They may not be fluent or speak english at home. But they pick up the language so well than local kids. With strong Mandarin background, usually they would score well for psle n secondary.
I recalled she mentioned she was in NA. How can give people tuition?Got discount if uncle engage you for my little bird? One turning 4 soon and the mother bird has decreed that he needs to go fkf tuition![]()

See doctor also not so expensive.$125/hr is chop carrot head price liao.
It's like paying a personal trainer $300/hr to teach you how to use the gym machine.

Because my wife is Korean, so everyone speaks English for easy communication at home. But, I agree with you that mandarin is important, hence the reason for the tuition.Really don understand why many parents r not speaking Mandarin to kids since born.
