It's not a water gun. It fires gel pellets that are 90% water. They hit like a rubber band on bare flesh.

It is essentially an airsoft AEG designed for use with gel pellets.

This one fires foam too. The problem is foam darts need to be picked up. The gel ball fragments turn to dust when dried out. Also the Nerf style mag has a relatively limited capacity. 15-20 rounds is about max else the springs will start to compress the darts. Gel mags can hold a thousand rounds.

Downside to gel is accuracy. It doesn't have much of that so you gotta spam shots. A Nerf like the one pictured has a spin device making it accurate to extreme range - 30cm radius at 100ft.

Don't get seen. The idea is to make the creature feel unsafe in a particular area. If they can't tell what the source of the danger is, the place is dangerous and should be avoided. If they know you are the source of the danger, the place is safe as long as you aren't around.

I disturb monkeys from behind cover only when they are sitting on my bins. If they are just hanging around, I leave them alone.
