i got a feeling that the unis don't like nyp? coz it seems like nyp students mostly gt rejected? i saw on forums and like those rejected r from nyp. i was oso frm nyp, rejected by smu

just wld like to noe lets say i get rejected from ntu adm, and i decided to appeal, am i required to re-submit my portfolio for reviewing?

i don't believe that 20% bullcrap at all. percentages are easily manipulated anyway. for your info do you know that certain scholarship holders do not fall under this 20% cap? this cap only refers to FTs who apply directly to nus/ntu/smu on their own. seriously if it was only 20% i should only have a 2 in 10 chance of meeting these loud speaking people on the internal shuttle bus and in the faculty canteens. comeon don't tell me all the singaporean students are so rich that every single one of them drives to school and doesnt eat at the school canteen? I'm quite sure the real percentage should be hovering around the 40s.

haha.... overall is 20 %... but is it the same for every course? Some courses, FT is not that many de. Some courses, alot FT. If you choose that course how? :s13:

It is just like little india got alot indian, bangladeshi. 70 % of the people there are them. But consider whole of singapore, is it 70% of the people are either indian or bangladeshi or much much lesser?

that might be true since more foreigners can boost their university rankings as well :s7:

quality foreigners not any foreigners will boost the uni rankings. we need foreign talents not foreign trash... :(

sad to say there is too much quantity but the quality is not there.

I would have no qualms about bringing real bright foreigners into the unis, but we have FTrash everywhere.

quantity != quality
