... rejected applicants are ranked by the unis in their data base, so those who are more than a couple of points away from the current COP will find themselves disappointed ... :o

my CM also said that.one of the reason why our chances are lowered is because this year, uni adjusted the fraction of seats to cater for the influx of foreign students.

the guys in here go NS, will fight for the country. the girls here go into uni, endup will contribute to the country and society. for the FT, they graduate, they earn the $$, then return to their country

... poly students got 3 times more places this year than 2 years ago, and a rough calculation shows that the percentage of A-level students getting into the local unis has fallen from 77% last year to 45% this year ... :(

Rough calculation, subject to verification:

2008 - 12,200 A-level students, 2,760 foreign students (20% cap), 900 poly students, 700 discretionary places for A-levels (assume 5%), 13,800 uni places: 77%.

2010 - 15,500 A-level students, 4,200 foreign students (MOE statement, which showed 20% cap busted), 2700 poly students (MOE statement confirms poly intake for 2010 will be 3 times that of 2008), 725 discretionary places for A-levels (assume 5%), 14,500 uni places: 44%.

... feel free to verify/fine-tune any of the figures ... :(

UK A levels

Hi guys,
I did my Uk a levels, and scored AAB, AA. However my application to NTUI business. Please tell me what course i must appeal to, so that i have a better chance of getting in?
Also, my predicted grades were ABC,BC. If I tell them that i have improved so much, will they take it as a valid point?
Thanks.
