Hi guys, I have just got my NTUC Plus! Visa 2 weeks ago and I have few questions, please bear with me
1. I dont see any term mentioning 4% yearly rebate and free insurance people mentioning in page 1 of this thread. it's already obsolete or still have?
2. How to pay the credit card? usually I pay my UOB credit card using UOB ATM, but this OCBC didn't give me any ATM card. I must call them to ask for ATM card or is it true that the CC can be used as ATM card too? if it's true, which saving account it's linked too, to the starter account?
3. the NTUC member fee I paid for 3 months upfront to be qualified for the free gift (still haven't received anything till now btw), so I need to keep track when it's expired or they will send reminder to remind me to pay the member fee? can use the CC to auto renew the member fee?
might have more q but that's all for now :D thanks

i think if you got any questions can go to their fan page to ask. Usually you should get a reply quite fast. Just search NTUC Membership in Facebook.

the benefit maybank CC enjoyed seems ending soon.
The selected 5% cash rebate merchants are valid till 31 December 2013, unless otherwise stated. • From 2011 onwards, the maximum cash rebate that Maybank Family & Friends Platinum MasterCard Cardmembers receive will be capped at S$600 calculated based on posted transactions in a calendar year, e.g. 1 January – 31 December.

12 * $9 = $108

you get:

1) 4% rebate on any purchase (credited yearly to you)
2) plus credit card -> 10% rebate on housebrand items (supposedly got 500+ items)
3) $1 = 2 link points @ ntuc (about 1.33% )
4) cheaper redemption of items @ the linkpoint online store

how does the 4% rebate work? How they know how much you've spent in fairprice. if by linkpoint, then less than 10 dollor transaction will not enjoy this rebate?

I think they only want to state that their listed merchant atm only confirmed till end of year. next year might be different.
I saw their term last year, stated it valid till 31 December 2012.
so yah 31 Dec 2013 is not end of the world. it's just end of a cycle, just like the Mayan calendar :)

Hi, i tried searching online, but cant find anywhere that says at the end of eachyear, there is some rebate for ntuc members on their purchase from ntuc. My mum told me last time long long ago got.

So far i know, linkpoints can be exchanged for rebate on purchases, which amounts to 1.3% equivalent.

So conclusioon is using linkpoint plus maybank card gets the most discount from ntuc. Total of 6.3%. Is there further discount on this?

The 4% rebate on the ocbc link card is too useless because need to monitor monthly spending of $400-500 whch is toomuch already.

....

I have the plus card (due to ntuc insurance) and every September I will be given 4%(which may varies if got surplus) on the amount spent at NTUC. For financial year ended March 2012, 4.5% rebate is declared :)
