so the price on nvidia's website is pretty much what we can expect?

or is it still up to our local retailers/distros to add their "mark up" ?

With the demand and limited supply?

Don't even bet that it's close to the base price.

Pretty certain it will end up costing more, especially the AIB cards and with the rumors of it being a paper launch with limited stocks, can anticipate potentially further markups.

1440p now. 4k in 5 years time. No point 8k when my freaking anime still 1080p max. Old anime like Shaman King stuck in 480p. Upscaling matters more to me.

Buying 8k is like having bragging rights.
Like having Lamborghini in SG, step on accelerator awhile then need to step on brake. Vroom vroom loudly to show off. I prefer a sleek, smooth, efficient and most importantly quiet car. Stealth car <3.

Otakus <3

1440P is very yester-yester-yesteryear. I already on 1440P for more than 5yrs... :o :o

1440p 27 inch feels too big, i'm thinking of downsizing it to 25. but i can't seem to find high refresh rate ips monitors @1440p at that size :(

The last 3 months of this year will belong to AMD. AMD Ryzen 4000 desktop will launch. AMD Big Navi will launch. Xbox and PS5 with AMD solution will launch.

Now is the best time for Nvidia to release their 3000.

i think 80% increase quite meaningless in doom when 2080ti can already perform adequately. would love to see how 3080 perform in flight sim 2020 at max setting instead!

p.s often wonder how player can switch weapons rapidly … any keyboard macros involved?
80%:s13: Typical nvidia even making their own flagship look bad when in fact the 2080ti can pretty much hold it's own against the 3080 if your comparing doom eternal. See below(it's in July BTW), 4k Ultra Nightmare with HDR to boot from someone that actually plays the game;)

I used 2560x1600 for 10 years liao. 1600p?
Dropped to 3440x1440 recently. 1440p?

I am saying, it is ok to be 1080p for next 5 years too. 1440p if want better. 4k at most. Would never go above 4k. Not when TV is still stuck in 16:9 instead of 21:9. Still way more 1080p videos than 1440p or 2160p.

To be honest, I don't like most of the AAA games except 2 or 3.

I will never go multiscreen.
