Would buying overseas and shipping it in be cheaper?
Or would it be better to pay a premium and get local warranty?
Would there be day 1 stock at Sim Lim?

From what I keep hearing we wont have stock locally until 2-3 weeks after the launch. No idea how true that actually is tho,... only time will tell I suppose!

Can try reading the thread a bit? People already said that the stocks are limited and all the main shops have a pre-order list that was filled up the morning after the event.

September 15-21 will be the first batch of 3080. 21-28 will be the first 3090.

From the looks of things, prices might be through the roof.

Anybody here thinks that AIB cards all looks quite meh? I feel like FE cards are a lot nicer? Although I would probably still open those cards and slap in a waterblock. Lol

The FE design this time are by far the best. :D

However, those that are using air-cooler and plan to get a 3080 should skip the FE version and go directly to the AIB version.

This precisely.

Why are people so upset?:s11:

GTX 670 > GTX 580
GTX970 > GTX 780Ti
GTX1070 > GTX980Ti
Only the RTX2070/RTX2070 Super was just around the performance of GTX1080/GTX1080Ti depending on drivers.

So its only natural for the RTX3070 to be on par with RTX2080Ti. :s22:

I think the 30 series FE is something that will grow on me. I am a huge fan of the 20 series FE and may consider getting on as a collectors item later :s22:

TBH if you ask me, the cuda cores on RTX 3070 is 5888 while the RTX 2080 Ti is 4352.

Based on the graphical computation power the 3070 is far more powerful than even the mighty Titan RTX. There is almost no doubt the 3070 is faster than 2080 Ti, not just on-par.

cuda has been redesigned, u cant compare them 1:1. its probably within few percent +- of 2080ti.

I feel the RTX 3070 will likely win and lose in some games when compared to the RTX 2080 Ti. The card is gimped quite a fair bit, so I don't expect it to be more than 10% faster in the best case scenario. Still it is a good achievement considering the RTX 2080Ti easily cost 2 or more times than the MSRP of the RTX 3070.

no need think so much, rtx 2000 is just overpriced as fk and performed not much better than the series it replaced. 70 supposed to perform like a 80ti one.
