Definitely not 8k. But 4k with max settings is possible.

But with only 8GB in RTX 3070 4k with max settings in AAA is no longer sufficient especially with games on next gen consoles. At least with 16GB is more breathable. :)

Go for the 3080 then?

I am actually worried I won't get stock for 3090 AIB models... anyone else feels the same way?

will surely be sold out within hours ....... not to mention Singapore will get a pittance in stock allocation

Usually first and second batches get cleared out very quickly. But the spike in demand will settle down after 2 months or so. May be can get a better deal during Black Friday sale.

There's a nice USD 999 gap for a 16 GB 3080 Ti

yes...next year Jan announcing 3080ti at usd 999 haha...won't be surprised if they do that.

How about card 1 tier lower than 3070? 3060 performance to today's 2080 at usd359?

Yeah, saw four/five ti in their configurator. OEM only cards ?

One vendor even launching up to 14 RTX 30 series cards, consumer will be spoiled of choices.

No reviews yet so many here are already planning to buy.

The performance numbers are from Nvidia and they are based on RTX titles.

I highly doubt rasterise performance is anywhere near the claims so non-RTX games will not perform as well.

Everyone should wait for RTX 3000 series reviews and better still wait for AMD RDNA2 cards before committing to buy.

U all so rich.. Most have 8k monitor sia..

1440p now. 4k in 5 years time. No point 8k when my freaking anime still 1080p max. Old anime like Shaman King stuck in 480p. Upscaling matters more to me.

Buying 8k is like having bragging rights.
Like having Lamborghini in SG, step on accelerator awhile then need to step on brake. Vroom vroom loudly to show off. I prefer a sleek, smooth, efficient and most importantly quiet car. Stealth car <3.

Nvidia also just posted a video of Doom Eternal side by side 2080Ti vs 3080

The 3080 is 50% faster. than a 2080Ti. No RTX

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7nYy7ZucxM

DigitalFoundry (independent review channel) also posted a video benching a 2080 against a 3080 with RTX disabled and the 3080 is on average about 80% faster

Shall wait for full review from trusted YouTubers and/or review sites.

At 320 watts, the 3080 will be power hungry and hot. Samsung's 8nm process node is inferior to TMSC's 7nm node that should be used for Navi 2.

Will probably wait for Navi 2 to compare before buying. It's just less than 6 months away.

Likely limited RTX 3080 stock in Singapore and by the time more stocks available, Navi 2 will be available as well.

DigitalFoundry is a highly respected independent youtube tester/channel

Having said that waiting for more reviews is never a bad idea

BTW TDP on the 3080 is about 30% more than the 2080Ti, but it outperfoms by at least 50% on Doom Eternal. So on a perf/watt you can do the math

It just sounds to me like you're trying to convince yourself not to buy it. And I notice you are using all AMD everything. Well, it's your money

Just a single game by 50% is not conclusive.

Just saying people need to chill and look at full reviews before committing.
