actually sign up account need money indirectly. if you dont have 3k in the account you kena pay admin fee. the 3k could have earned better interest elsewhere. the opportunity cost is the fees.

otherwise, you open account and dont put money. you kena pay $3 a month fall below fee.

so dont anyhow go open account.

Hi bumdssa,

You could set up e-alerts for deposits to your account via Internet Banking.

Here are the steps:

1. Customer Service
2. Manage e-Alerts
3. Other transactions via other banking channels
4. Deposits
- Set Threshold

Do try this out, and let us know if it still doesn't work for you.

tested it. works now. thanks!

1. can we pay income tax using OCBC 365 credit card? Does it count as credit card spending and entitle to the 0.5%?

2. Can we have an sms alert whenever we receive deduction from our ocbc account and credit card acc? Citibank has this sort of alert, but i can't find it in OCBC.

Hi seveneleven,

1. Income tax is not payable by OCBC credit cards.

2. You could receive e-alerts via Internet Banking. After logging in:
- Customer Service
- Manage e-alerts

From there, do look through the e-Alerts list, and you will be able to make the adjustments.

Hi OCBC,

I would like to transfer my Aviva GIRO to my OCBC 360 account, from POSB. Please advice as to how do I proceed with this request. Tried calling your customer service hotline but can't seem to get a officer.

Thanks!

Hi bjornng,

You will have to terminate your current GIRO arrangement with POSB, and contact Aviva to set up GIRO deductions to be done from your OCBC's account.

Hope this clarifies.

We have received your PM as well. Do let us know there if you still require a call from us.

Thank you.

Could it be that the salary credited by your company is < 2K due to the MUP claim portion that is to be credited by Mindef?

You mentioned this happens whenever you go on reservists, what was the feedback you received from OCBC during the last occurrence.
