You don't even need to decide when the GIRO payment is triggered. Should not incur late fee when on GIRO.

Hi bitwise,

We could help to check on your account to ensure that the GIRO application is successful.

If you would like for us to do that, do drop us a PM with your contact details. Our service executive will call and assist.

Hello OCBC,

First off, thank you for the follow up call. It has been sorted out quickly.

But I do have another question... I was just trying the payment to other credit card function. I tried paying 1SGD to one of my cards to test it out. It should also count as 1 bill payment right?

Regards.

Hi bitwise,

Do note that only unique bill reference number/credit card account number will be recognised. This means if you make multiple payments to one particular bill reference number in the month, it will only be captured as 1 payment.

Hi.

Im interested to open up the OCBC 360 account. However, I have some confusion and hope I could find the clarification here.

I played around the OCBC360 calculator on their webpage. Assume I have 10,000 deposited and my 2k monthly salary is GIRO-ed, and I have $500 transaction on the credit card (if successfully applied).

a) The 1.2% interest calculated is based on the deposited savings and it is not inclusive of the in-coming 2k monthly salary. Am I right to say that?
b) Can I make 2 payment under the same company? E.g. Singtel? Will it take as a single payment instead?

a) The 2k monthly salary will increase the average daily balance for the current month, and the 1.2% interest (and also 0.5% for pay bill and 0.5% for card spend and 0.05% base) will be calculated based on this increased average daily balance. On top of that, you get 1% interest for the incremental balance (the increase in ADB in current calendar month from the last calendar month).

b) considered 2 bills if 2 unique reference numbers

Does the bill payment inclusive of credit card payment as well?

Thank you!

Yes, can easily use OCBC ibanking and pay $1 to any 3 credit cards to fulfil the bill payment requirement.

2) same goes to paying my telco bill using 365?

Thank you!

Not sure why you want these to consider as giro. If you want to fulfill 3 bill payment requirement, you can easily just pay $1 via ibanking to any 3 bills eg credit cards.

I actually think that GIRO isn't such a good idea for variable bills because you lose the ability to contest/dispute unauthorised/unjustified charges.

Yes. And in top of that no rebate/ reward :D

i did a recurring OCBC 365 cc payment for my hp and internet bill.. if manage to hit $600/mth can get 3% cashback.

but of course, if got variable charge that you unsure of (like eg, i got additional $100+ roaming charge before i did recurring payment, lucky can waive off :D), then once your cc pay, then LL already.
