the cute cute gal at the counter asked me to do this when i opened the account. i have been doing this for a long time already. it worked.
The cute gal is also a smart gal. If all her customers do this, she can get the maximum commission per customer. :)

More questions; how do you pay your bills using credit card automatically, aka GIRO style? Singtel bills, insurance bills, can? Or do you mean every month got to go and pay the bill manually using credit card?

Hi, appreciate if anyone can help answer these questions:

1. As long as I make $1 payment to a card each month, this will count as 1 bill payment right?

2. What if I make $1 payment to a $50 Singtel bill, then pay the remaining $49 using my OCBC credit card?

3. I then pay my OCBC credit card as my third bill (different card from point 1)

Thanks.

1. Yes.

2.
a. You need 2 more bill(s) to pay to get 1% p.a.
b. You neeed $351 to charge to your credit card(s) to get 1% p.a.

3. You now need 1 more bill(s) to pay to get 1% p.a.

Thanks for the reply.

Does point 2 not count as another bill payment?

No. Their terms says, "bill payment by IBANKING OR GIRO"

Therefore, payment of bill using credit card, AXS machine, ATM machine etc do not count.

I should clarify.

I meant paying $1 of my $50 Singtel bill from OCBC 360 account ibanking.
Then I pay the $49 balance of the bill from OCBC credit card.

Then I pay the bill of my credit card (after spending $351 more).

I have question, if I'm jobless or take a rest for a month or two months, does it still satisfy the criterial min. $2k per month? or they look at the overall per annum say like 2k*12 = 24k at least if you have 24k at the end of the year you are safe?

if not, then I wont be getting the 1%?

Think: what are the criteria required to earn, per month,
i) Salary Bonus,
ii) Payment Bonus,
iii) Credit Card Spend Bonus?

And the answer is obvious.
